As a Solution Developer at SMG, this is what you will do:

  • Integrate services and configure features key to the business
  • Write T-SQL statements to read, write, and update the MS SQL database
  • Create and maintain SSIS, SSRS packages
  • Communicate with internal customers about project requirements and technical specifications
  • Communicate as a technical expert towards internal non-technical teams
  • Use critical thinking to troubleshoot issues related to internal processes
  • Articulate process improvements, provide information, analysis, and recommendations to support team efforts
  • Create and maintain documentation
  • Communicate with clients about their needs, and give demonstrations
  • Produce design proposals and budgets
  • Develop programs or other products, and evaluate products to ensure they function properly
  • Use C# to develop new functionalities within existing codebases


You are a perfect match for the role if you have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field, or the equivalent through a combination of education and work experience
  • 2+ years of experience developing and maintaining applications
  • Technical knowledge of the current hardware, operating systems, and Microsoft Office
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Ability to communicate technical information to non-technical customers
  • Experience with T-SQL, SSIS and SSRS
  • C# and Visual Studio experience
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others
  • Excellent knowledge of English


It’s a bonus if you have:

  • Understanding of HTML
  • Experience with Hive and/or Mongo DB
  • Basic understanding of Agile, Scrum, Kanban
