We build the Data Engineering, Data Science, and Data Integration pillars of Microsoft Fabric.The Data Science & Engineering UI Team is hiring a Software Engineer II to take on building out new tools for AI & Data Science based workflows. We work closely with the Design and Service engineering teams to build out the Front End for these new workflows.   • Work on new features by collaborating with Lead Engineers, Product Managers, and Designers.
  • Work on site reliability and maintain infrastructure and tools.
  • Build and maintain tests and testing infrastructure for new and existing functionality.
  • Work with other team members to write engineering specs & explore UX design possibilities.
  • Participate in on-call rotations to manage incidents with the live site.
Other QualificationsRequired Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, or related technical field AND 2+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python
    • OR equivalent experience.
  • 2+ years experience working with one or more web UX frameworks.
Other RequirementsAbility to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings:
  • Microsoft Cloud Background Check:
    • This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 4+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python
    • OR Master's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 2+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python
    • OR equivalent experience.
  • Experience working with React.
  • Experience writing tests.
  • Experience writing web applications.
  • Experience working with Designers.
