The Multi Functional Manufacturing Associate Manager position is located in Greenville, South Carolina and assists in managing more than one functional area of manufacturing. Final Assembly and Check Out (FACO) is the final production area and is responsible to complete the manufacturing of the Block 70 F-16 and making a fully functioning aircraft with operational systems. FACO delivers aircraft to the paint operations and/or flight operations teams. Together these three teams make up the three parts of the Final Assembly And Flight Operations (FAAFO) Team.
Additional responsibilities include:
*Assist in management of financial control plans/targets, schedules, EVMS to baseline and metric standards as well as direct and indirect overhead budget.
*Advise, staff and assist in managing technical proficiency levels to ensure a trained, qualified, skilled workforce.
*Instill quality, product disciplines and stringent adherence to the Production processes and procedures.
*Cultivate customer relations, building rapport and confidence between our DCMA customer, FACO Team, and our Program Office.
*Foster an environment where the diverse talents and perspectives of our team power innovative solutions for our customers and drives business success. This may include leading Performance Management Teams (PMTs).
*Assist and coach leaders and the team to move effectively and efficiently through change by facilitating implementation and acceptance. Adjust quickly and effectively to new strategies, business models, goals, or customer's changing priorities.
*Assist in leading all aspects of the business; safety, quality, schedule, cost, resources, logistics/production control, equipment and process/procedures.
*Develop strategies to package and absorb out-of-station work, in-span to prevent disruption to normal production sequence/flow while recovering schedule to meet customer needs.
*Drive focus toward continuous process improvement, corrective action and expeditious implementation of robust and relevant corrective action plans.
*Resolve complex technical issues and deliver quality FOD free products.
*Accomplishes results through lower level subordinate supervisors and employees.
*Advises Manager on staffing levels to achieve financial and performance commitments.
*Provides effective customer interface to foster relationships and ensure understanding of customer expectations.
*Oversee development opportunities for employees to foster growth for each employee’s full potential.
*Recognizes and Rewards superior individual performance and effectively addresses poor performance issues for both salary and hourly team members.
*Creates a Culture that ensures accountability and trust while ensuring compliance with Company Policies & Procedures.
*Partners with manager daily to ensure alignment and direction of organization to meet goals and milestones for schedule, quality, cost and safety.
*Mentors subordinates to grow well rounded Full Spectrum Leaders.
Basic Qualifications
• Systems (Electrical, Mechanical, Life Support, Etc.) operation knowledge and troubleshooting.
• Experience with Microsoft Office Suite: Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
• Experience leading a team(s) to meet critical schedules, resolve complex and/or time sensitive technical or operational issues.
• Experience with business metrics (cost, schedule, and/or quality)
Desired skills
• Ability to read and understand blueprints.
• Ability to create, interpret, and utilize metrics related to performance.
• Earned Value Management System (EVMS) experience.
• SAP experience or equivalent.
• Ability to understand budget for the department and budget performance expressed in realization and/or durations.
• Demonstrated ability to create, monitor and report on all executive operations metrics.
• Experience in Lean Manufacturing and 5S or 6S methodology and implementation.
• Excellent communication skills (verbal, written and presentation).
• Prior experience on 4th Generation (F-16/F-15/F-18/Ect.) or 5th Generation platforms.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively interact at all levels.
• Ability to Lead and Operate in a team environment.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Experience in manufacturing/production methodologies & Aircraft maintenance techniques.
