Signature Theatre, one of New York's leading off-Broadway theatres, is seeking a Senior Data Systems Operations Manager for The Pershing Square Signature Center on West 42nd Street. 


About Signature

Founded in 1991, Signature Theatre celebrates playwrights and gives them an artistic home, producing six to eight productions annually. In 2005, Signature began its groundbreaking Signature Ticket Initiative, providing affordable tickets to all of its productions. In 2012, Signature opened The Pershing Square Signature Center, the Frank Gehry-designed 75,000 square foot Center featuring three theatres, two rehearsal studios, a central, public lobby with a café and bookstore, as well as administrative offices.

Department heads will be accountable to lead their teams by incorporating principles from our EDIA work into their daily practices and establishing tangible action steps for the organization.


Primary responsibilities include:

  • Provide cross-departmental leadership, training, and support for all business applications with a primary focus on the Tessitura CRM and its auxiliary tools including Analytics, TNEW, and Tessitura Merchant Services.
  • Perform database administrator duties including user-management, troubleshooting, procedural maintenance, and data oversight.
  • Serve as application specialist for additional business tools including Wordfly, WordPress, Formstack, Asana, Microsoft Office Suite, etc., offering trainings to staff, optimizing use of all in-use systems, and introducing new software as applicable. 
  • Oversee the Ticket Services Management Team’s training, development, and performance.
  • Facilitate all updates and enhancements to Tessitura including the pending upgrade to v16.
  • Design and build custom reports, procedures, and ad-hoc queries using SQL to accommodate company-wide requests.
  • Craft Tessitura Analytics dashboards and present strategic analysis and recommendations to company leadership to foster data-based decision making.
  • Work with third-party contractors including web developers, ticket-sellers, tessitura support agents, etc. on all system-based projects.
  • Provide best practices and create business procedures across multiple departments.
  • Lead the organization in the use of AI and Automation to streamline processes and decrease manhours and human error company-wide

Requirements

 Required Skills:

Expert level knowledge of Tessitura and its infrastructure with a minimum of 5 years’ experience with progressive responsibilities as a Tessitura user and at least 2 years in an administrator role (Cross-departmental experience strongly preferred).

Proficiency in SQL and Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio. (Bonus points for experience creating custom reports using Microsoft Visual Studio) 


Desired Skills:

A broad understanding and proficiency with a range of business applications and tools. We currently use WordFly, WordPress, Formstack, Asana, and Microsoft Business Suite (including SharePoint and Power Automate), but we understand that skills often transfer between similar applications and encourage you to apply even if you have not worked with these specific tools.

Knowledge of best practices and industry standards for non-profit theaters or other arts and cultural organizations.

Project management experience.

Ability to document and teach technical procedures to a non-technical audience.

This is a full-time salaried exempt position, with compensation commensurate with qualifications and experience.
