To learn more about our work, please visit our website at www.refugees.org. OVERVIEW This is a full-time role at USCRI’s Arlington, VA office. The Development Associate - Donor Services and Engagement position supports the growth and operations of the development department and is responsible for stewarding individual donors, managing and tracking individual and institutional donor activities and records, and responding to donor inquiries. The position reports to the Deputy Director of Development and works closely with the Director of Development and other key members of the Development team. The ideal candidate will be flexible with strong interpersonal skills, open to taking on varied responsibilities, and solid project management skills. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES · Manages donor contributions and grant award processing and cultivation efforts, including gift acceptance, responding to donor inquiries, generating thank you letters, and managing appropriate online communications. · Ensures development data integrity and serve as the primary point of contact for the Development team’s CRM—Donor Perfect; · Responsible for entering donor gifts and in supervising all gift entries by Development staff and setting best business practices and protocols. · Implements and tracks progress of approved individual giving campaigns, donor engagement activities, including to maintain, update, and ensure the accuracy of donor records; · Generates monthly fundraising/donor reports, including reports to the Board of Directors, annual work plans and monthly accomplishments and grant processes. Reports on Field Office activities. · Support team in developing and executing strategies for renewing and growing of individual donors via online and in the mail. · Supports the Development team at HQ and Field Offices with crafting of mail appeals, online campaigns, and other materials to cultivate new donors and educate them about the various ways to contribute to USCRI. · Ensures website and donation pages are updated as needed; utilizes donation tools such as QGive, MailChimp, and Classy to maximize online giving. · Provides expert and strategic coordination of incoming and outgoing data related to donors. · Develops and analyzes statistical gifts and revenue and works closely with the Development and Finance team to reconcile monthly gifts. · Works closely with staff to execute customized appeals for $1000+ donors and planned giving prospects. · Serves as a traffic coordinator for development team’s proposal output and grant reporting requirements. · Other responsibilities as assigned by supervisor. REQUIREMENTS · Bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited college or university; · Minimum of 3 - 4 years of demonstrated experience in individual giving, donor management, and managing data within a CRM; · Excellent writing and editing skills, and experience working on donor solicitation emails, fundraising campaigns, reports, and other public communications; · Familiar with Donor Perfect or like-minded CRM; Qgive, Classy or similar donation forms; · Highly effective communication skills, demonstrating strong partnership skills, emotional intelligence, and situational awareness; · Self-starter with ability to work well in a team, juggle multiple priorities, and meet tight deadlines; · Excellent computer skills required, including knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) and Adobe Acrobat. Experience with development applications and software (e.g., DonorPerfect, Stripe, GrantsHub) strongly preferred; and · Demonstrated commitment to the mission of USCRI and interest in the development field.
