Position: Product Manager Assistant

Position Reports to the CEO

Pay Rate: $52,000 - 72,800 Yearly  


Job Description

The Product Manager/Junior Engineer works alongside the Product Development Manager/CEO in developing Lighting Fixtures and Specification Cut Sheets. You will be a key cross-functional team member who manages every step of the product lifecycle from concept to production.


Responsibilities Include

  • Create and maintain product workflows in Smart Sheet and or Epicor.
  • Assist in establishing task and product milestones during the development stage.
  • Monitor all phases of new product Spec Sheet development and help to resolve roadblocks.
  • Works with Marketing, Technical, and Engineering teams to ensure deadlines are met.
  • Work with Product Development Sourcing Manager to provide estimated launch dates for product families' spec sheets.
  • Assist with cost analysis and Price list with Product Development Sourcing Manager.
  • Proofread print and electronic product literature.
  • Serve as a company-wide resource for product questions and information.
  • Create and maintain Product Master Data files.
  • Notifies CEO and Product Development Sourcing Manager of any discovered Pricing errors, Spec sheet errors, Product errors.
  • Other duties and projects as assigned.

Requirements

  • Must speak and write English proficiently.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Project Management, or related field.
  • 1-3 years of Product Management or Project Management experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Technical knowledge of electrical and lighting products.
  • Lighting manufacturing experience is a plus.
  • Must possess excellent communication and be self-motivated.
  • 1-3 years managing a small to mid-sized team.
  • Strong ability to manage multiple projects and properly manage change.
  • Ability to work with a cross-functional team without formal authority.
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills and Creative skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience in manufacturing organizations that produce or assemble products.
  • Experience with Adobe, Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, and SmartSheet.
  • Ability to read CAD drawings.
  • Professional, responsible, and dedicated.
