Job Summary

Job Description

DUTIES: Design and develop new software and web applications using Python, SQL, JavaScript, Angular, and Spring Boot; build operational and support tools using Django, Flask, and FastAPI; work with databases including SQL Server 2008 R2, SQL Server 2012 R2, MySQL 5.0, and NoSQL databases including MongoDB and DynamoDB;  monitor applications using ELK (Elasticsearch, Logstash, and Kibana), CloudWatch, Datadog, Splunk, Grafana, and Tableau; build web applications using HTML, XML, XHTML, XSLT, CSS, SOAP, and AJAX; develop applications using cloud computing platforms including Amazon Web Services (AWS), Azure IoT Hub and EventHub; track bugs using JIRA; perform CI/CD using Jenkins and Bitbucket; perform version control using GitHub, CodeCommit, and GitLab; support applications under development and customize current applications; assist with the software update process for existing applications, and roll-outs of software releases; analyze, test, and assist with the integration of new applications; document all development activity; research, write, and edit documentation and technical requirements, including software designs, evaluation plans, test results, technical manuals, and formal recommendations and reports; monitor and evaluate competitive applications and products; review literature, patents, and current practices relevant to the solution of assigned projects; collaborate with project stakeholders to identify product and technical requirements; conduct analysis to determine integration needs; and work with the Quality Assurance team to determine if applications fit specification and technical requirements. Position is eligible to work remotely one or more days per week, per company policy.

REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical field, and two (2) years of experience developing software using Python, SQL, JavaScript, Angular, and Spring Boot; building operational and support tools using Django, Flask, and FastAPI; working with databases including SQL Server 2008 R2, SQL Server 2012 R2, MySQL 5.0, and NoSQL databases including MongoDB and DynamoDB;  monitoring applications using ELK (Elasticsearch, Logstash, and Kibana), CloudWatch, Datadog, Splunk, Grafana, and Tableau; building web applications using HTML, XML, XHTML, XSLT, CSS, SOAP, and AJAX; developing applications using cloud computing platforms including Amazon Web Services (AWS), Azure IoT Hub and EventHub; tracking bugs using JIRA; performing CI/CD using Jenkins and Bitbucket; and performing version control using GitHub, CodeCommit, and GitLab.
