The Marketing and Communications Digital Specialist is responsible for raising awareness of UNLV Health, alongside with the Kirk Kerkorian School of Medicine at UNLV, as it continues to lead transformative healthcare through education, and improved outcomes for the people of Nevada. Your work supports the recruitment of staff and patients; helps to drive philanthropic support; and accelerates engagement with key partners working with the school and UNLV Health to improve lives. This position will enhance UNLV Health’s digital presence, supporting strategic communication goals through engaging content, targeted messaging, and brand consistency across all digital platforms. This role is responsible for planning, creating, and managing content across social media, websites, email newsletters, and digital advertising channels.

This is an on-site, in-person position located in Las Vegas, Nevada.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop and manage digital content strategies aligned with UNLV Health’s mission and brand standards.
- Creates persuasive high-quality content for various channels, including websites/blogs, email campaigns, newsletters, infographics, social media posts and other marketing content items. Ensure a consistent and compelling brand presence across all marketing and communication resources.
- Monitor and engage with audiences on platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, X (formerly Twitter), LinkedIn, and YouTube.
- Track, analyze, and report performance metrics (traffic, engagement, conversions) to optimize content and campaigns.
- Complete website changes and updates through UNLV Health’s customer relations management (CRM) to ensure accuracy of data and the CRM system promotes high engagement with digital community members.
- Manage digital assets including graphics, photos, and video in coordination with graphic designers and videographers.
- Ensure accessibility, accuracy, and brand compliance across all digital communications.
- Monitor healthcare trends and digital best practices to keep UNLV Health’s digital voice relevant and impactful.
- Conduct market research to identify trends, and potential opportunities.
- Functions effectively in a Matrix Management environment.
- Completes any duties and special assignments as requested.
EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION, AND CERTIFICATIONS
- Minimum of four (4) years of experience in Marketing, Communications, and/or related field required; preferably in higher education or healthcare
- Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Business Administration, and/or related field required
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES QUALIFICATIONS
- Intermediate knowledge and experience with CRM systems, HTML, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Premier, InDesign, and Photoshop
- Knowledge and experience with search engine optimization, archive and meta data management,
- Knowledge and understanding of digital marketing trends and tools
- Knowledge of healthcare industry and marketing and communication trends
- Knowledge of communication trends and needs in an education and/or healthcare environment
- Knowledge of digital and social media, including real-world experience planning, managing and executing digital and social media initiatives
- Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, etc.) and Google Suite (Gmail, Docs, etc.)
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Excellent project management and organizational skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision
- Must be able to multitask and prioritize work in a fast-paced environment
- Must be able to maintain confidentiality
- Must be able to pay close attention to details
