Human Resources Generalist - Bloomington, MN (onsite to hybrid)
The Human Resources Generalist plays a key role in delivering essential HR services across the employee lifecycle. This position provides operational and administrative support in the areas of recruitment, onboarding and offboarding, benefits administration, compliance, employee engagement, and HR data management. The HR Generalist serves as a point of contact for employee inquiries, helps coordinate the internship program, and contributes to the ongoing development of HR programs and practices. Success in this role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, a service-oriented mindset, and the ability to handle sensitive information with professionalism and discretion.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate the full cycle of onboarding for new hires, including welcome communications, first-week schedules, and facilitation of HR orientation.
- Support employee offboarding, including IT and payroll notifications, preparation of termination documentation.
- Serve as a point of contact for employee HR-related questions, ensuring timely and professional support.
- Assist with the recruitment process, including submitting new job requisitions, and candidate communication for onboarding. Support participation in career fairs and recruiting events.
- Contribute to the planning and administration of the internship program, including onboarding, coordination with hiring managers, intern events, and program feedback collection.
- Support benefits administration, including open enrollment and employee inquiries and communication.
- Maintain accurate and compliant employee personnel files and records.
- Prepare or assist in preparing HR correspondence, forms, reports, and documentation.
- Assist in the development, documentation, and rollout of HR programs, policies, and initiatives.
- Perform HRIS data entry and partner with payroll for accurate processing of employee transactions.
- Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills with the ability to build relationships across all levels of the organization.
- Exceptional organizational and time management skills; able to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Demonstrated working knowledge of HR principles, practices, and employment regulations.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- High level of discretion when handling sensitive and confidential information.
- Self-starter with the ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams); experience with HRIS platforms preferred. Experience with UKG is a plus.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in a similar Human Resources role.
- PHR, SHRM-CP, or similar certification is a plus.

Compensation:
The expected base salary range for this role is $70,000 - $80,000 USD per year. Actual compensation will be determined based on a number of factors including skills, experience, qualifications, and location.
