Job OverviewWe invite applications for the position of Manager, Grants Administration, a vital role designed to oversee the financial, human resources, and operational aspects of sponsored projects in a remote work environment. This full-time role offers the opportunity to engage with leadership teams and manage a diverse portfolio of grants from federal, state, local, and private sources. The successful candidate will possess a profound understanding of grant management processes and a collaborative approach to working with a variety of stakeholders, including faculty, researchers, and administrative offices.Key Responsibilities

  • Administer grant budgets, ensuring precise spending forecasts.
  • Monitor expenditures to prevent cost overruns and maintain compliance with financial guidelines.
  • Prepare and submit progress and final reports for both investigators and stakeholders.
  • Support electronic research administration systems effectively.
  • Oversee sub-contracting initiatives and manage consultant agreements.
  • Supervise payroll, time entry, and diverse payment operations.
  • Uphold compliance with the regulations of sponsoring organizations.
  • Facilitate proposal preparation, particularly in budget planning and documentation.
  • Provide guidance on budgetary concerns, direct and indirect cost rates, and sponsor stipulations.
  • Ensure timely processing and routing of essential documents through relevant systems.
  • Manage general ledger entries and coordinate human resource and financial transactions.
  • Conduct training and onboarding sessions for new team members.
  • Offer backup support for essential functions during staff transitions.
Required Skills
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication capabilities.
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong problem-solving, conflict resolution, and leadership skills.
  • Capacity to work independently while maintaining confidentiality.
  • Proven history of developing and overseeing budgets and financial documentation.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent blend of education and experience.
  • 3-5 years of experience in grant management, accounting, or bookkeeping.
  • Demonstrated expertise in budget formulation, tracking, and grant administration is essential.
