Group Warehouse Process Engineer



Location: Warsaw, Poland; Bucharest, Romania; Sofia, Bulgaria; or Zagreb, Croatia

Work Model: Hybrid (remote + on-site), with up to 25% travel



Position overview:

We are looking for a Warehouse Process Engineer to join our team and drive innovation in supply chain operations. You will be responsible for enhancing warehouse efficiency by designing and implementing streamlined processes and optimizing Warehouse Management System (WMS) functionalities. Reporting to the Group Supply Processes Manager, you will be instrumental in developing and executing advanced solutions to improve logistics operations and system integrations.



Your responsibilities:

  • Evaluate current warehouse procedures to identify inefficiencies and areas for improvement.
  • Develop strategies to enhance the efficiency of receiving, put-away, replenishment, picking, packing, and shipping processes.
  • Design and implement systems and procedures to streamline warehouse operations.
  • Ensure that all improvements align with industry best practices and company standards.
  • Collaborate with safety teams to develop and enforce safety protocols for equipment and processes.
  • Ensure compliance with environmental and safety regulations and standards.
  • Lead the integration of automation technologies to optimize material handling and distribution.
  • Monitor and test automation solutions to ensure they meet performance standards.
  • Identify and troubleshoot issues within warehouse processes, developing effective solutions.
  • Implement performance metrics to track and improve process efficiency.
  • Track, analyze, and report warehouse operational costs, identifying opportunities for cost reduction.
  • Develop and implement lean warehousing techniques to improve operational flexibility and efficiency.
  • Promote a culture of continuous improvement and lean thinking across the warehouse.
  • Work with multi-national logistics and supply chain teams to ensure optimal material flow and inventory management.
  • Share best practices and collaborate with other Orbico companies and logistic sites to achieve operational excellence.
  • Develop and deliver training programs for warehouse staff on Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), or new processes and technologies.
  • Ensure all employees are knowledgeable about safety procedures and operational standards.
  • Manage and lead projects aimed at improving warehouse operations and achieving strategic goals.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful project execution.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of process improvements and system changes.
  • Provide regular reports to management on process performance and improvement initiatives.
  • Performs all other duties and responsibilities as assigned.



Our requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field.
  • Experience in supply chain, transportation, and logistics.
  • Strong process orientation and experience in warehouse operations.
  • Accountable, adaptable, systematic, and punctuate.
  • Understanding of Lean Logistics and Lean Manufacturing concepts.
  • Ability to integrate new technologies into practical applications.
  • Continuous Improvement attitude and practice.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven project management abilities in team environments.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Fluency in English.
