Job Description

Location We operate a flexible, hybrid working environment with the candidate required to travel to either our Winchester or London office once or twice a week.

We are seeking a Senior Software Developer with a strong focus on full stack development. The ideal candidate will have significant experience in front-end development and a solid understanding of back-end technologies. Potential development projects within Arqiva may be related to Media, Utilities or Corporate applications however specific experience in these areas is not essential.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop frontend components and features using modern JavaScript frameworks such as Vue.js or React.js.
  • Design and implement responsive and intuitive user interfaces.
  • Develop backend services using Python or similar languages.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.
  • Troubleshoot and debug issues across the entire stack
  • Continuously discover, evaluate, and implement new technologies to maximize development efficiency.

Must Haves
  • Proven software development experience and skills.
  • Strong knowledge of JavaScript and/or TypeScript.
  • Strong understanding of HTML semantics, accessibility, performance, and best practices.
  • Experience with frontend frameworks like Vue.js and/or React.js.
  • Experience with integrating with backend systems based on AWS
  • Proficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as Git.
  • Ability to lead and input to design decisions

Might Haves

  • Experience with Python for backend development.
  • Familiarity with other similar languages and frameworks.
  • Experience with Agile/scrum ways of working and relevant tools
