The HR Intern will support day-to-day Human Resources operations, including recruiting, onboarding, employee engagement, HR administration, and compliance. This role is ideal for a student or recent graduate who is eager to gain hands-on experience in Human Resources within a professional environment. The HR Intern will learn about HR best practices, employment law basics, employee relations, HR systems, and organizational development.
Key Responsibilities
Assist with full-cycle recruiting including posting job ads, screening resumes, scheduling interviews, and communicating with candidates
Support the onboarding process for new hires, including preparation of employee files, orientation materials, and training schedules
Maintain accurate and confidential employee records in HRIS and personnel files
Assist with benefits administration and responding to employee inquiries
Help coordinate employee engagement initiatives and events
Support HR compliance efforts, including documentation and audits
Prepare HR reports, metrics, and presentations as needed
Participate in HR projects related to performance management, policy updates, training, and process improvement
Provide general administrative support to the HR team
Requirements
Education:
Currently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or related field
2.5 GPA or higher
Knowledge & Skills:
Strong organizational and time-management skills
Excellent written and verbal communication
High attention to detail and confidentiality
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Familiarity with HR concepts or HRIS systems is a plus
