Job Purpose & Scope:

Responsible for developing, managing and maintaining revenue generating investment and trust relationships.

 

Essential Job Functions:
  1. Specializes in internal and external networking to effectively develop leads and referrals for revenue generating client investment and trust relationships.

  2. Partners with retirement planning and corporate trust specialists to develop and build new business.

  3. Establishes and maintains mutually beneficial business relationships with external referral sources and internal bank partners, such as centers of influence, lenders, and other Bank employees.

  4. Meets with and educates Bank partners to position the value of Trust and Wealth capabilities.

  5. Creates market-wide business development plan in conjunction with the Managing Director, Chief Development Officer, Investment Advisors and other Trust officers in leadership roles.

  6. Assists wealth team with the development of individual business development plans. 

  7. Provides management with insight on market industry trends, best practices and product needs, and keeps abreast of changing economic, legal, financial planning, investment trends, and general market and business issues affecting affluent clients.

  8. Establishes and maintains relationships with prospects and referral sources.

  9. Coordinates and attends events as a representative of the Bank.

  10. Ensures a high level of customer service is established and maintained.

  11. Responsible for coordinating regular reviews to ensure clients are meeting their financial goals and progressing in the development of an individual estate plan. 

  12. Creating and maintaining individualized financial plan and estate plan with each client.

  13. Identifies additional banking referral opportunities through client relationship and provides warm hand off of client to those business partners. 

  14. Assures delivery of quality fiduciary services to all clients of Trust and Wealth in assigned market. 

  15. Meets revenue, growth and retention goals.

  16. Serves as liaison for the Bank Marketing group, as requested.

  17. Mentors and develops the Relationship Associate(s) on the team. 

  18. Regularly exercises discretion and judgment in performance of essential job functions.

  19. Maintains good punctuality and attendance to work.

  20. Follows Bank policy, practice and procedures.

 

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
  1. Knowledge of a broad range of personal financial planning/advisory and investment management/asset allocation concepts.

  2. Knowledge of retail credit and traditional retail bank products for the affluent market. 

  3. Knowledge of regulatory issues and legal issues involving the day-to-day management of the Bank’s fiduciary function necessary to its successful operation.

  4. Knowledge of banking product and services.

  5. Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing, including presentation skills.

  6. Ability to demonstrate effective sales, interpersonal and relationship management skills.

  7. Ability to lead in a team-oriented environment.

  8. Ability to organize work effectively and follow through on work activities and deliverables timely.

  9. Ability to establish, manage and maintain effective business relationships.

  10. Ability to demonstrate effective organization, critical thinking, analytical and problem-solving skills.

  20. Skill in using computer and Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.

 

Basic Qualifications:
  1. Bachelor’s degree in business, pre-law, finance, accounting, or commensurate work experience, required. 
  2. 7+years of work experience in high-net-worth sales, or related business development experience in a financial, legal or nonprofit industry, required.

  3. 7+ years of work experience in self-sourcing investment management assets in a banking, broker-dealer or registered investment advisor related role, preferred.
  4. Experience with Money Guide or other Financial Planning tools, preferred.
  5. Professional designation (i.e., CTFA, CFP®), preferred.
