POSITION SUMMARY

Support ECRI's mission of advancing effective evidence-based healthcare worldwide while working alongside IT Development Managers, teams of ECRI Platform & Software Engineers, and our respected and accomplished business partners.

The Business Systems Analyst II (BSA) facilitates requirements gathering and working sessions between the business stakeholders and the development team to build software applications and data solutions for our internal and external clients.

The primary objective is to understand the client’s business challenges, processes, and objectives, and translate them into actionable technical solutions, including data visualizations. This position combines analytical, technological and data analysis skills, and interpersonal skills to deliver value-driven outcomes and high-quality products used by ECRI business users and thousands of organizations in the USA and worldwide.

Essential Functions:

Drive requirements gathering and design sessions with stakeholders to elicit and document business needs.

 

Independently creates and defines user stories and acceptance criteria that meet the business needs.

 

Partner with the development team to ensure defined User Stories are reflected in technical design and grooming activities.

 

Creating process flow diagrams, wireframes, data flows and other visual aids to enhance understanding.

 

Assists Roadmap and Release planning including rough order of magnitude estimation activities.

 

Act as a liaison between technical, business SMEs and development team to ensure full understanding of business needs.

 

Demonstrated ability in data mapping, multiple systems integration and interoperability features.

 

Familiarity with enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems, customer relationship management (CRM) platforms, and other business software.

Qualifications


QUALIFICATIONS

Experience:

3+ years Business Systems Analyst or consulting experience.

 

2+ years’ experience in using Agile Methodologies (Kanban, Scrum).

 

Applied knowledge of Software Development Life Cycle framework.

 

Experience using issue tracking tools to manage the release process.

 

Healthcare IT business experience preferred.

 

Self-motivated with keen attention to detail.

 

Experience interacting with business customers and managing expectations.

 

Excellent communication, written, oral, interpersonal, and presentational skills to engage with diverse stakeholders.

 

Experience working with cross-functional and virtual teams.

 

Strong team player with ability to multi-task.

Education:

Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Information Systems or related field or equivalent work experience

Computer Skills:

Experience with Microsoft Office 365 Suite of products (e.g., Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).

 

Fundamental awareness of Atlassian Jira or other issue tracking tools

 

Fundamental awareness of Atlassian Confluence or other collaboration tools

POSITION COMPENSATION

The salary range for new employees in this position is $70,252.97 - $79,737.12, based on background, experience, and skills. In addition, new employees in this position are eligible for all of our benefit offerings, including, but not limited to, health and welfare benefits, 403(B) retirement savings, and paid time off (PTO).

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

This position operates in a remote environment and requires the individual to remain in a stationary position, whether sitting or standing, before a desk or other fixed workspace, most of their workday. In addition, this position requires the individual to occasionally move about their workspace to access and inspect work-related materials, such as file cabinets with physical files and standard office equipment. This position requires the ability to operate standard office equipment, including, but not limited to, a laptop, keyboard, mouse, webcam, and phone, as well as effectively communicate information and ideas to a wide variety of audiences in written and oral form.
