Compensation

At S&C, we are dedicated to providing competitive and equitable compensation for all our team members, and we are committed to transparency in our pay practices. The estimated annual base salary range for this position in $113,740 - $150,647.20. Individual pay within this salary range is determined by several compensable factors, including performance, knowledge, job-related skills and experience, and relevant education or training. This role is also eligible for S&C’s annual incentive plan (AIP), subject to eligibility criteria. 

Join Our Team as a Lead Enterprise Demand Planner!

Are you passionate about Production Planning? S&C Electric Company is seeking a dynamic individual to coordinate our supply and logistics function. As a Lead Enterprise Demand Planner, you’ll be crucial in ensuring smooth operations and supporting our diverse team. The Lead Enterprise Demand Planner leads the optimization of future customer demand and sales trends, working to improve demand accuracy to support operational planning. This individual contributor creates demand forecasts using historical data, market trends, customer insights, and AI. This role collaborates with sales, marketing, and finance to align forecasts and continuously improve accuracy and service levels/lead times. This is a forward-looking and customer-driven role predicting what customers will buy and when to reduce variation and the cost of variation throughout the supply chain.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Enterprise Demand Planning: integrated business planning and optimization: Develop and Maintain an enterprise-wide demand planning practice and integrated business planning to align commercial and operational goals, define and mitigate risks, and utilize advanced predictive modeling and AI to create leading indicators of demand variations.
  • Enterprise Demand and Integrated Business Planning Guidelines and Methodologies: Align external sales, the voice of the customer, and market trends insights to advance S&OP practices, including stakeholder accountability and decision-making authorities.
  • Incorporate Statistical, Predictive, and AI Technologies: Leverage Analytics tools to assess supply trends, forecast accuracy, and capacity utilization. Support the implementation of AI and digital transformation initiatives to enhance demand and supply leveling. Continuously improve data accuracy and integrations of processes and systems between sales planning, order management and supply planning.
  • Scenario Planning & Sensitivity Analysis: Develop and execute scenario-based demand forecasts to evaluate the impact of market fluctuations, new product introductions, and external disruptions. Provide recommendations to mitigate risks and capitalize on opportunities.
  • Demand Forecast Performance Measurement & Reporting: Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to track forecast accuracy, bias, and demand variability. Regularly analyze and present findings to stakeholders, driving continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Customer & Market Intelligence Integration: Partner with sales and marketing teams to incorporate qualitative insights such as promotions, competitive dynamics, and customer buying patterns into demand forecasts, ensuring a holistic and market-responsive planning approach.
  • Compliance: Understand and comply with all applicable Company policies and rules.  
  • Maintain regular and punctual attendance.
  • Attend in-person or virtual meetings as requested or required.
  • Communicate effectively and respectfully with others.
  • Other responsibilities as assigned.

What you’ll Need To Succeed:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Business Statistics, or a related field.
  • 7+ years of experience in supply planning, demand planning or production planning.
  • APICS Certified in Planning and Inventory Management (CPIM) or ASCM Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP)
  • Demonstrated experience in transforming enterprise demand planning or integrated business planning, including an in-depth understanding of capacity planning, supply inventory strategies and risk management
  • In-depth understanding of Oracle Planning Capabilities, and industrial supply chain management principles. Proficient in using Oracle ERP for production planning functions. 
  • Sound business acumen and analytical skills with the ability to use and analyze data to drive informed decisions, problem-solve complex issues and leverage data and learnings to drive continuous improvement. 
  • Great communication skills, (written, verbal, listening and presentation) able to liaise with internal and external stakeholders at all levels from management to support staff. Creative and persuasive in communicating how interventions can improve current practices. 
  • Sound interpersonal skills to establish meaningful relationships built on mutual trust and respect and foster collaborative working relationships amongst a diverse audience. 
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines, including the flexibility to work extended hours when necessary. 
  • Great organizational, planning, and project management skills, coordinating internal and external resources and juggling key demands. 
  • Great computer skills and ability to use Microsoft Office applications, specifically Microsoft Word, Excel (Advanced), PowerPoint, and PowerBI. Experience with developing or using digital tools.

Preferred:

  • MBS or Master's in Supply Chain Management.
  • Green Belt or Black belt 
  • 5+ years in enterprise, multi-site or multi-plant demand planning, Statistical Analytics, Modeling, or Decision Making
