Duties and Responsibilities
- Provide first-class support to users in person, over the phone, and through tickets.
- Diagnose and resolve desktop hardware, software, and network issues.
- Install, configure, and troubleshoot software and applications.
- Create, modify, and terminate user accounts and access permissions.
- Assist in testing, designing, and implementing computer systems and workflows.
- Track open tickets, document resolutions, and follow up with users.
- Advise and train users on appropriate technology solutions and procedures.
- Act as back-up support for headquarters Desktop Engineers.
- Maintain current knowledge of system updates and changes.
- Prepare reports related to support activities as needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, or related field, or High School diploma and equivalent relevant work experience required.
- Minimum 2-3 years’ experience supporting computer hardware/software in a LAN/WAN environment.
- Minimum 1-2 years’ experience supporting computer hardware/software.
Qualifications/Skills and Competencies:
- Knowledge and experience troubleshooting hardware, software, networks, and basic operating system functionality or equivalent.
- Knowledge and experience supporting Microsoft Office products/Office 365.
- Proven ability to be adaptable and flexible; able to adjust to new requirements or unforeseen issues.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with a focus on excellent customer service.
- Strong planning and organizational skills.
- Exceptional time management skills with ability to prioritize tasks and allocate resources efficiently.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to professionally interact with team members in other departments.
- Proficient in MSO/365 applications such as Microsoft Teams, SharePoint, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
