Human Capital Management (HCM) Training Specialist
Summary:
Join our Human Resources Administration (HRA) division as a Human Capital Management (HCM) Training Specialist. In this role, you will support the implementation of talent solutions, focusing on talent acquisition and performance management state-wide programs. We are seeking a dynamic, data-driven, and detail-oriented individual to provide training, consultation, and technical expertise across the state.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver training and content related to the newest human resources information system, Workday.
- Provide training and resources to agency recruiters on talent pool optimization, internship programs, interviewing and hiring best practices, and using Workday to streamline recruiting.
- Research training best practices for continuous program improvement.
- Analyze relevant data and generate graphic and narrative reports and presentations.
- Maintain and update training course materials, exercises, hand-outs, and exams to reflect best practices and respond to student feedback.
- Conduct instructor-led training both virtually and in-person for state entity staff.
- Utilize systems training environments or related tools to lead student activities.
- Assist with maintaining the HRA’s Learning Management System (LMS), including responding to enrollment requests and other administrative tasks.
- Respond to requests from various stakeholders.
- Perform other responsibilities as assigned.
Required Skills:
- Experience delivering training through various methods including in-person, online, and multimedia.
- Strong communication skills to effectively and credibly interact with audiences at all levels.
- Program management and administration skills, including organization and task/project management.
- Aptitude for learning and using technology for training design and data analysis.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint.
Minimum Entry Qualifications:
High school diploma/GED and three (3) years of job-related experience in human resources; or one (1) year of experience at the lower-level HR Spec 2 (HRP021) or equivalent position. An equivalent combination of knowledge, education, job or intern experience, training, or certifications that provides the necessary knowledge and skills to perform the job may be substituted year-over-year.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience using Workday Core HCM, Compensation, Talent Optimization (Management), or other Workday modules within an HR department as an administrator or trainer.
- HRIS systems training experience.
This position may require some travel. Local candidates only: DOAS participates in a hybrid work environment with telework encouraged and some in-office days required. The schedule will be determined at a later date.
