The Gift Processing Specialist is a part-time role (approximately 20-24 hours per week) responsible for creating and entering gift batches in the advanced CRM database for the Central Gifts Office. This position plays a critical role in advancing the University of Arizona Foundation’s mission by ensuring accurate and timely processing of charitable gifts. Training and support will be provided to ensure proficiency with the UA Foundation’s systems. The role is in-person and based at the UA Foundation.
Essential Functions/Major Responsibilities:
- Retain the highest degree of compliance with institutional policies and procedures as well as applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations.
- Process gifts, legally binding pledge agreements, and gift commitments for the UA Foundation with a high degree of detail management to ensure that the donor intent is captured accurately, in addition to conforming to legal and financial requirements.
- Export credit cards and cash gifts from special events and then import data into our Blackbaud CRM revenue batches for processing.
- Process gift adjustments per donor or staff request in accordance with proper system procedures.
- Ability to think creatively and utilize the query and reporting tools of the advancement database to produce imports and reports.
- Update and adjust constituent and gift records as required.
- Ensure the accuracy and integrity of all gift-related data entered in our Blackbaud CRM database, maintaining high standards for data quality and consistency.
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

- Proficiency in the use of personal computers and Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook).
- Proficiency or ability to learn additional software required to perform the essential duties of the position
Minimum Qualifications:
- Three or more years of experience with relational databases, as well as proficiency in browsers, search engines, Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Proficient in investigating and solving problems.
- Experience in a higher educational setting.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Knowledge of the University of Arizona Foundation accounting systems and gift policies.
- Knowledge and experience of fundraising and development functions.
- Experience with Blackbaud CRM software.
Work Environment:
- Due to the nature of the position, there is a high exposure to a computer screen.
- This position may require sitting for long periods of time.
