Summary:

The Product Management Associate is responsible for supporting strategic product positioning and providing customized, comprehensive analysis regarding the Calamos product line.  This role delivers those solutions to the Firm’s external and internal clients.

 Primary Responsibilities:

  • Oversees requests from internal and external clients relating to competitor analysis and portfolio positioning. Reviews generated reports and prepares talking points that provide insight about results, fund positioning, and competitors’ funds.
  • Fulfills ad hoc requests from distribution teams and other departments for product related inquiries, such as performance reporting, product characteristics and creation of product content. These requests require familiarity with multiple product structures, including open-end mutual funds, closed-end mutual funds, exchange-traded funds, separately managed accounts and UCITS.
  • Partners with Marketing and other internal resources on the creation of and ongoing data updates for prospecting materials and sales ideas.
  • Responsible for generating, maintaining, and distributing reporting packages. Ensures timely completion of all deliverables.
  • Develops and maintains a complete understanding of competing funds features and benefits to draw competitive advantages of our products to assist in the distribution of Calamos products. 
  • Employs the use of technology and partners with the Data Science and Technology teams to scale the production of established analysis and dig deeper into standard reporting to drive new insights.
  • Performs related duties as assigned.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree required preferably in Finance or other related discipline.
  • Minimum 3+ years of work experience, with experience in the asset management industry. Experience within the product discipline a plus.
  • Work toward CFA, CAIA or CFP designations.
  • Series 6 and/or 7 licenses required.
  • Desire to learn about investments and investment product management.
  • High attention to detail; maintaining a high standard of deliverables, consistent with the Product team culture
  • Well-developed analytical and problem-solving skills. Able to interpret data from analytical software such as Morningstar Direct, FactSet, Bloomberg, eVestment, etc.
  • Able to also work independently to complete and manage reports, analyses and projects from start to finish. Self-starter with a sense of urgency, personal responsibility and accountability.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to interact with all levels of the organization.
  • Proficient in Morningstar Direct, Zephyr, FactSet, Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint.

Compensation Disclosure

The compensation for this role takes into account various factors, including work location, individual skill set, relevant experience, and other business needs. The estimated base salary range for this position is $60,000 - $70,000. Additionally, this position is eligible for an annual discretionary bonus.

Please note that this is the current estimate of the base salary range intended for this role at the time of posting. The base salary range may be adjusted in the future.
