The Production Scheduling Manager directs and coordinates activities related to asset planning requirements and production of company products by monitoring and proactively managing capacity planning, verifying forecasts, tracking work orders, and ensuring required material is supplied to the production floor according to the production schedule. This position reports to the Operations Manager and is responsible for managing all personnel and functions related to the Scheduling team.
Other responsibilities include effectively communicating production needs through Management and Leadership, expediting and prioritizing work orders, monitoring and achieving efficient schedule attainment, and managing weekly production schedules personally or through subordinates. Responsibilities require knowledge of scheduling practices, ERP systems, strategic thinking, independent judgement, and a relentless drive to solve problems and implement improvements.

- Responsible for manufacturing and scheduling productivity, including resource and asset utilization, and capacity planning for short-term and long-term needs.
- Coordinates production activities with operations, procurement, maintenance, and quality control activities to optimize production and utilization of human resources, machines, and equipment.
- Determines production scheduling priorities and needs based on open orders, forecasts and sales trends, while remaining cost effective. Revises production schedules and priorities as a result of equipment failure or operating problems.
- Develops, improves, and manages scheduling processes and KPIs to promote success of purchasing, production, inventory, and sales.

Requirements
Qualifications and Essential Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 5 years related experience with production control; or equivalent combination of education and experience in a related field. Master’s in Business Administration desirable.
- Minimum of 3-6 years in supervisory/managerial role. Added preference of analyzing and providing recommendations on continuous improvements. Has identified that changes need to be made and has implemented/managed the recommended changes.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and critical path software (MS Project).
- 5+ years ERP system experience, JDE experience desirable.
- Strong communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively communicate to all levels within an organization, vendors, dealers and customers.
- Possess problem solving skills, and computer and project management capabilities
- Strong organizational skills including the ability to set both short, midterm and long-term goals.
- Sense of self-discipline and deadline orientation.
- Develop in-depth knowledge of company products.

The noise level in the office work environment is usually quiet. Employee may be exposed to shop environment while distributing documents to shop area. When on shop floor, employee will be required to wear safety glasses at all times, steel-toed footwear and ear protection when job demands presence in areas outside safety zones and gloves when handling material. While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be exposed to moving mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles, and vibration, and occasionally exposed to risk of electrical shock. The noise level in the plant shop environment is moderately loud. Position involves working indoors and outdoors with some exposure to weather conditions.
