AeroMedical Case Manager
Venesco LLC is looking for an AeroMedical Case Manager to support the 711th Human Performance Wing (711 HPW), headquartered at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base in Ohio. This role requires 3 years of experience in aeromedical case management or a minimum of 5 years in a military facility as an aeromedical case manager. This position requires and active or at least eligibility for a Secret Clearance.
The 711th is the first human-centric warfare wing to consolidate human performance research, education and consultation under a single organization. Established under the Air Force Research Laboratory, the 711 HPW is comprised of the Airman Systems Directorate (RH), the United States Air Force School of Aerospace Medicine (USAFSAM) and the Human Systems Integration Directorate (HP). The Wing delivers unparalleled capability to the Air Force through a combination of world class infrastructure and expertise of its diverse workforce of military, civilian and contractor personnel encompassing 75 occupational specialties including science and engineering, occupational health and safety, medical professions, technicians, educators, and business operations and support.
Responsibilities:
- Provide case management support and assistance necessary to aid in mission accomplishment for the Aerospace Medicine Branch of the ACS.
- Review all Aeromedical cases submitted from MAJCOMs and AFRMA, and ensure pertinent data is included with case results. All information will be input into ACS Examinee Management System (EMS).
- Track cases through the entire review process keeping MAJCOMs and AFMRA informed of the status of each case.
- Coordinate and schedule evaluations using all available resources (ACS, WPMC, and other outside civilian agencies).
- Receive telephone calls, greets visitors, and ascertains the nature of the calls or visits.
- Have the ability to communicate with coworkers, leaders, commanders, first sergeants, MAJCOMs, AFMRA and others; be able to resolve conflict at different levels.
- Perform all duties necessary with ACS appointments and all required data entry for Patient Status Worksheet (PSW) and Examinee Management System (EMS) located within the HPWS (Human Performance Wing Support) web-based program. These include the collection and compilation of data for final case disposition and mail-out; update Aeromedical Waiver Management Information System (AIMWTS) with current waiver status. In this role you will assist in the review/revision of departmental instructions and policies and provides the Aeromedical Career Field with updates on ACS policy/procedures.
- Support the Residents in Aerospace Medicine (RAMS) during their rotations (policies and procedures).
- Comply with all policies of the Aerospace Medicine Branch and ensure appropriate and complete evaluee testing and care in support of the Aeromedical Consultation Service, and other referring facilities as required. Additionally, he/she shall do the following: perform all administrative functions in support of Aerospace Medicine Branch, which includes preparing memoranda and technical reports. Requirements
- Bachelors degree
- 3 years of experience in aeromedical case management or minimum of 5 years in a military facility as an aeromedical case manager.
- High level of proficiency with Aeromedical Information Management Waiver Tracking System (AIMWTS), Physical Examination Processing Program (PEPP), Aeromedical Waiver Guide (AMWG) and the Medical Standards Directory (MSD).
- High level of knowledge in medical standards for retention, flying classes, and special operational duty for the USAF. FA8650-21-D-4010
- Knowledge of anatomy and physiology, and ability to use medical terminology when communicating and documenting care. Ability to communicate instructions to the patient, at the patient’s comprehension level.
- Proficient with Portable Document Format (PDF) and all Microsoft office applications to include but not limited to: Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Outlook and Microsoft PowerPoint.
- Typing using 9 key pad and QWERTY.
