  • Occasional evening or weekend work required for Special Graduate or Scholarship Events and Orientations. 

REMOTE WORK: Yes, occasional 

HOURS/WEEK and MONTHS/YEAR: 35 hours/week and 52 weeks/year

GENERAL PURPOSE

The Program Manager oversees larger Office of Research, Scholarship, and Graduate Studies (ORSGS) goals, objectives, and initiatives as well as coordinates key projects. Additionally, supervises research development and contributes to the growth of the ORSGS. The merger of the Office of Research and Scholarship with Graduate Studies has expanded the day-to-day workload of this position.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • Serves as the point of contact for both internal and external constituencies including McAllister and Quinn, the Office of Grants and Sponsored Programs, external grant reviewers, vendors, and guests of the Office of Research, Scholarship, and Graduate Studies. Complex issues are resolved at this level before they are brought to the Senior Dean. Supports faculty when they interact with the ORSGS and uses leadership skills when responding to emerging goals and responsibilities.
  • Designs and organizes databases for internal files of ORSGS as well as external files (ongoing federal, research, and foundation grant proposals with weekly deliverables, deadlines, and interaction with McAllister and Quinn). Designs and monitors Excel spreadsheets for grants and scholarship records across 4 Schools. For instance, Program Manager for the Noyce Ambassadors. Data collection for faculty and administrators using Qualtrics. Utilize AI to make the office more efficient.
  • Works independently and in a decision-making role for budget transfers, contracts, faculty professional development initiatives, networking activities with community colleges and local educational agencies, collecting essential data for research and compliance policies. Collects and analyzes indirect measures for student-faculty partnerships and the Graduate Student Leadership Association.
  • Actively updates web pages for the ORSGS and supports Senior Dean as the Institutional Review Board (IRB) administrator. At times, supervises graduate assistants for ORSGS, and organizes the PI Academy.
  • Facilitates organizational aspects of the grants process (pre-award), interacts directly with the Associate Director of Grants and Sponsored Programs, and researches information for the competitive grant process. Develops aspects of Canvas courses, including the development of 0-credit courses and repositories for student or faculty information in support of graduate and doctoral programs.

REQUIRED MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree 
  • 3 to 5 years of work related experience 
  • Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
  • Databases
  • Web Development 
  • Jenzabar Software 
  • AI Software and APPS

PREFERRED MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Master's degree

SALARY INFORMATION

When determining the salary offer for a new employee, Molloy considers several key characteristics such as job knowledge, skills, and experience as well as internal and external equity. The hiring annual salary range for this position is $65,000 to 75,000. This annual salary represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of compensation at the time of posting.
