Job Description
As a Secondary Markets Business Analyst, you’ll use analysis, forecasting, processes execution and business systems to support the returns reduction team. You’ll participate in change management, support complex projects and influence decision making within the reverse supply chain. You’ll also have direct partnerships with external vendors to analyze sales and industry trends to maximize returns reduction. This high-visibility role will serve as a critical component in leveraging our returns strategy to achieve category and enterprise goals.
This role is hybrid, which means you will work some days at our corporate office in Richfield, Minnesota, and some days virtually from home or another non-Best Buy location. The specific work arrangements vary by role and team. The recruiter or hiring manager will provide more details during the hiring process.
What you’ll do
- Analyze intake data and historical sales while using industry insights to develop and share critical reporting
- Identify areas of opportunity while working closely with category partners
- Translate data analytics and complex scenarios in an actionable way to cross-functional partners and leaders
- Interact with multiple functions across the company, influencing decision making outside of your immediate team
- Help manage opportunities across the organization to achieve customer-focused goals
Basic qualifications
- 2 years of experience in retail, supply chain, business management, merchandising or related field
- 2 years of experience delivering analysis and insights on data and recommendations
- 2 years of experience working with business and financial concepts
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Intermediate proficiency using Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Access, Excel, Power point)
Preferred qualifications
- 4 years of experience navigating through various systems to obtain information and create advanced spreadsheets and PowerPoint decks
- 4 years of experience checking data for accuracy and challenging unreasonable assumptions
- 4 years of experience working in a fast-paced, evolving team environment and across functional groups
- 4 years of experience in competency in data systems;( i.e. PowerBI, Retek, SQL)
