Job Description

Program Manager of Youth

Operation HOPE is currently seeking a Program Manager for the Youth division reporting to the Senior Director. The Program Manager of Youth role is to project manage, coordinate, and assist the Senior Director with the coordination and execution of the day to day of The City of Atlanta Children’s Savings Accounts and Uplift Atlanta Programs. This includes program work tasks and deliverables to reach the program’s goals.

 

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES:

  • Reports to and coordinates with the Senior Director of Youth and Young Adult division
  • Assist with oversite of day-to-day CSA and Uplift operations.
  • Support engagement specialist and assist with engagement events.
  • Manage CSA account portals with bank partner on behalf of participants including incentives.
  • Engage with funding municipality including providing required reports.
  • Collaborate with Uplift Program Coordinator to recruit and deliver Youth curriculum to schools and youth serving organizations.
  • Organizes and delivers “Bank Days” at CSA schools.
  • Supports all Youth related activities as needed.
  • Managing program deliverables and work tasks for the successful implementation of the Children’s Savings Account Program.
  • Working with HOPE’s team to develop the program procedures for program enrollments, enrollments audits, and enrollment follow-up protocols, this may include coordinating with The City of Atlanta Team, and APS for inputs on tactics and strategies, programmatic and/or operational best practices learned from other CSA programs.
  • Planning with the Community Engagement and Outreach Specialist (CEOS), the HOPE team, The City of Atlanta and APS to resource and design program incentives for CSA program enrollees.
  • Working with the HOPE team to plan and calendar CSA program enrollment dates and times over the course of the school term and summer schedules.
  • Managing and supporting the Community Engagement and Outreach Specialist (CEOS), financial wellbeing coaching team, and works with SRDPO to create workplans in alignment with the program’s advocacy, outreach, incentives, and financial education components.
  • Facilitating regular program status meetings with the COA and all relevant partners.
  • Establishes regular communications with HOPE Accounting for updates on participant accounts with COAs contracted financial institution.
  • Presenting the Program to interested external stakeholders, such as schools K-12, after school organizations, community-based organizations, advocates, school educators and parents
  • Educate stakeholders about the Program and help gain their support.

 

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS

  • Position requires some travel to fulfill responsibilities (less than 10%)
  • Must have personal transportation to travel to designated partner sites


Skills/Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree required
  • Demonstrate ability and experience with project management, meeting timelines, and managing project deliverables
  • Strong technical experience with project management tools and proven ability to design presentations using Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint 
  • Experience coordinating projects that involve quality programs and data-driven program evaluation
  • Detail oriented, organized, excellent written and verbal communication skills to communicate project scope and program goals in a clear and concise manner
  • Minimum of two years’ experience of community outreach and sales experience
  • Have solid understanding of the target population’s culture
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team across various community stakeholders, and geographic locations
  •  Able to work with APS faculty, educators, and parents in action-oriented and collaborative manner
  • Ability to lead with a high level of personal responsibility
  • Demonstrate success managing individuals, community partners, and teams to achieve production and impact expectations
  • Proven ability to inspire and motivate others in support of the organization’s vision and mission
  • High aspirations for all people to be successful and empowered financially
  • Deep commitment to and believe in Operation HOPE’s mission
