Manager, Finishing

Location: Raliegh, NC
Schedule: Mon-Fri-7PM-7AM
Pay & Benefits: Competitive salary + bonus eligibility + comprehensive benefits package


Summary

Join Millennium Print Group as a Manager, Finishing! We’re looking for an experienced leader to oversee our Finishing department, which includes bindery, die cutting, folder gluing, slitting, and overwrap production operations. In this role, you will lead a high-performing team, drive production efficiency, quality, and safety, and ensure that customer requirements are met on time and at the highest standard. If you’re passionate about printing, packaging, and manufacturing leadership, this is your chance to work with products loved around the world.


What You'll Do

  • Lead and manage multiple finishing operations including bindery, die cutting, folder gluing, and overwrap.

  • Develop and execute departmental goals, KPIs, and production schedules aligned with company objectives.

  • Ensure compliance with ISO 9001, OSHA, and safety standards while fostering a culture of safety.

  • Monitor production, identify bottlenecks, and implement continuous improvement initiatives (Lean, Six Sigma, 5S, Kaizen).

  • Partner with plant leadership and cross-functional teams to resolve issues and optimize efficiency.

  • Build, mentor, and develop a high-performing team through coaching, training, and career progression.

  • Administer department budgets, staffing, scheduling, and administrative processes.

  • Ensure on-time delivery, cost efficiency, and quality standards are consistently achieved.


What You'll Bring

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred; equivalent experience may be considered.

  • 8+ years of manufacturing or print production leadership experience, preferably in finishing operations.

  • Strong knowledge of bindery, die cutting, folder gluing, and finishing equipment.

  • Familiarity with JDF technology automation, folding cartons, glue systems, inks, coatings, and substrates.

  • Training or knowledge in ISO, OSHA, Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, or 5S highly desirable.

Skills & Abilities:

  • Proven leadership skills in people development, team building, and performance management.

  • Strong problem-solving, decision-making, and organizational abilities.

  • Excellent communication skills to work with diverse teams and senior management.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), MIS, and production reporting systems.

  • Results-driven with a focus on quality, operational excellence, and customer satisfaction.
