LOCATION:  Lakeshore College - Cleveland, Wisconsin

POSITION SUMMARY:  This student position supports the Office of the Vice President of Student Success by performing a wide variety of administrative and creative duties. The role involves helping manage day-to-day operations, supporting campus communication initiatives, and assisting with select promotional and media projects. Provide an exceptional customer service experience to both internal and external customers throughout every interaction.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS (Other duties may be assigned):

(50%) Design and Document Updates (Adobe Creative Suite) 

  • Use Adobe and related Creative Suite tools to update and maintain Lakeshore’s academic program sheets.
  • Assist in designing and formatting internal recruitment and admissions materials, such as brochures, flyers, and branded handouts.
  • Ensure visual consistency with Lakeshore’s branding and style guidelines across all printed materials.


(25%) Administrative and Project Support

  • Prepare meeting materials and assist with set-up for internal and external meetings.
  • Perform data entry and maintain organized electronic and paper filing systems.
  • Assist in event coordination for campus activities and meetings.
  • Maintain confidentiality and act professionally in interactions with students, staff, and guests.
  • Support ongoing and special projects as assigned by the Vice President or designees.


(25%) Campus Media Communications and Creative Projects

  • Assist with the bathroom stall flyer system across campuses using designated acrylic holders.
  • Assist with the design, scheduling, and distribution of approved promotional flyers that highlight campus events, student services, and resources.
  • Ensure materials are current, properly branded, and rotated regularly for visibility and effectiveness.
  • Collaborate with student groups, departments, and marketing to keep messaging fresh and relevant.
  • Help with the scheduling and uploading of content for the campus TV Slideshow
  • Assist in sourcing campus content to promote engagement and community.


EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • High school diploma or equivalent. 
  • Must be enrolled in a program pursuing a minimum of six credits per semester.

Knowledge:

  • Knowledge of Lakeshore's mission, vision, and strategic direction. 
     

Skills:

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills. 
  • Effective interpersonal skills and customer service skills. 
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills. 
  • Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS/WORK ENVIRONMENT:

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit and talk or hear.
  • The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; and reach with hands and arms.
  • The employee is occasionally required to climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
  • The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
  • Work environment may require multi-tasking.  
  • The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. 


CONDITION(S) OF EMPLOYMENT:

  • Employment conditional on completion of a Background Information Disclosure (BID) with the results acceptable to the College.
  • Student success always comes first and it is expected that the student maintains average grades while employed. Failure to do so may result in their student help position being discontinued.
  • Students must be active and enrolled in a minimum of 6 credits per semester and enrolled in an academic program.
