JANSON is hiring a Director of Strategic Analysis and CEO Initiatives.
This is a full-time position at our Headquarters office in Fairfax, VA.
This individual will assist the CEO with high-priority special projects, strategic initiatives, and customer program/project development. This role requires strong analytical skills to analyze diverse data sets, build insightful reports, and create comprehensive project portfolio summaries to inform corporate decision-making.

SUMMARY:
The candidate will be responsible for guiding the development and execution of customer program strategies and ensuring alignment with organizational goals. The role also includes attending internal and external (client) key meetings, capturing actionable insights, and supporting the CEO in executing business strategies. The ideal candidate will possess a balanced blend of strategic thinking, planning, and analytical capabilities to contribute to customer program execution, business growth and operational excellence.
EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum 3-5 years
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Public Policy, International Affairs, Analytics, Communications, or a related fieldMaster’s degree (e.g. MBA, MPA, MA in Strategic Studies or Organizational Leadership) – preferred but not required
- Experience in government contracting, defense, or a mission-focused organization
- Exposure to or participation in client-facing strategy, project design, or capture efforts
- 3-5+ years of professional experience in strategic analysis, business operations, consulting or executive-level support
- Proven track record in supporting high-level executives or project teams on strategic planning or cross-functional initiatives
SKILLS & ABILITIES
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills; ability to translate data into actionable insights
- Experience developing or managing customer program strategies aligned with mission objectives
- Familiarity with strategic frameworks such as Objectives & Key Results or KPI roadmaps
- Experience with stakeholder/market research, proposal development, or competitive analysis
- Demonstrated ability to build executive-level reports, dashboards, and project summaries
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; comfortable presenting to the CEO
- Able to multitask, prioritize, and deliver in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
- Highly self-directed, organized, and detail-oriented
TOOLS & TECHNOLOGY
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook)
- Proficiency with data visualization tools (Power BI or similar)
- Experience with CRM systems (Zoho, HubSpot, etc.)
