Salary Information: Annual Minimum Salary-$48,000-Annual Maximum Salary-$72,000
Hiring Rate: $23.08-$28.85

Pacific Northwest University of Health Sciences (PNWU) was founded as a 501(c) (3) non-profit medical institution in 2005 aimed at increasing access to health care in medically underserved areas of the Pacific Northwest.
The University currently offers the degrees of Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine, Doctor of Physical Therapy, Doctor of Dental Medicine, Master of Arts in Medical Science, and Master of Science in Occupational Therapy enrolling over 550 students annually with plans to develop other programs and/or colleges. Interprofessional education partnerships with other universities adds another 100 students to the population. The campus includes 300 employees with academic programming spread over a five-state region.
PNWU is located in Yakima, WA, a city of approximately 95,000 located in the south-central part of the state near the eastern slopes of the Cascade Mountains in a major agricultural and outdoor recreation region. General Summary:
The Marketing Generalist is a dynamic and adaptable member of the Marketing and Communications team, responsible for supporting a wide range of marketing functions. This role is ideal for a creative professional with a broad skill set who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. The Marketing Generalist will contribute to graphic design, social media management, website management, copywriting, and other marketing initiatives as needed, acting as a flexible resource to support departmental priorities and campaigns.
This position is essential to maintaining brand consistency, supporting recruitment efforts, and enhancing the university’s visibility across digital and print platforms.
Essential Job Functions:
• Design graphics and visual assets for digital and print use, including social media, email, web, and event materials.
• Develop, manage, and schedule organic social media content across platforms, ensuring alignment with brand voice and strategic goals.
• Write and edit marketing copy for various channels including web pages, email campaigns, social media posts, and print collateral.
• Maintain and update website content using the university’s content management system (CMS), ensuring accuracy, accessibility, and brand consistency.
• Support marketing campaigns and initiatives by assisting with project coordination, asset creation, strategic messaging, and branded merchandise inventory.
• Fill in for other marketing roles as needed, providing flexible support across the department.
• Performs other related duties as assigned and based on departmental need.
Requirements
Education:
• Required: Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, or a related field
Experience:
• Required: 1-3 years of experience in a marketing and communications role
• Preferred: Experience with Adobe Creative Suite, CMS platforms (e.g., WordPress), CRM software (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot, Slate), social media scheduling tools, and photography (camera or smartphone)
Desired Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities:
Strong design and visual communication skills; skilled in effective writing and editing abilities; knowledge in social media platforms and content creation; knowledge in website content management systems; ability to adapt quickly and contribute across multiple marketing functions; and strong organizational and interpersonal skills
