Pacific Northwest University of Health Sciences (PNWU) was founded as a 501(c) (3) non-profit medical institution in 2005 aimed at increasing access to health care in medically underserved areas of the Pacific Northwest.
The University currently offers the degrees of Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine, Doctor of Physical Therapy, Doctor of Dental Medicine, Master of Arts in Medical Science, and Master of Science in Occupational Therapy enrolling over 550 students annually with plans to develop other programs and/or colleges. Interprofessional education partnerships with other universities adds another 100 students to the population. The campus includes 300 employees with academic programming spread over a five-state region.
PNWU is located in Yakima, WA, a city of approximately 95,000 located in the south-central part of the state near the eastern slopes of the Cascade Mountains in a major agricultural and outdoor recreation region. General Summary:
Under the supervision of the Executive Director of Marketing and Communication, the Growth Marketing Specialist is responsible for driving prospective student engagement and conversions through performance-driven digital marketing strategies. This role focuses on the creation, execution, and optimization of digital advertising campaigns, website landing pages, and email/SMS communications to support student recruitment and application goals.
Essential Job Functions:
• Plan, launch, and optimize paid digital advertising campaigns (e.g., Google Ads, Meta, LinkedIn) to drive traffic, leads, and applications.
• Build, test, and optimize high-converting website landing pages tailored to prospective student journeys.
• Develop and manage email and SMS marketing campaigns to nurture leads and applicants through the enrollment funnel.
• Analyze campaign performance and user behavior using tools like Google Analytics, CRM platforms, and A/B testing software to inform strategy.
• Manage and grow the university’s organic social media presence to support brand awareness and engagement with prospective students.
• Collaborate with the MarCom team to ensure consistent messaging and branding across all digital channels.
• Performs other related duties as assigned and based on departmental need.
Requirements
Education:
• Required: Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, or a related field
Experience:
• Required: 2-4 years of experience in digital marketing, preferably in higher education or lead generation environments
• Preferred: Experience with CRM systems (e.g., Slate, HubSpot) and CMS systems (WordPress)
Desired Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities:
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; knowledge in digital ad platforms, email marketing tools, and web CMS; strong writing, editing, and verbal communication skills; and ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
