Your Next Career Opportunity – IT Project Manager
Responsible for leading various projects within the established standards and policies of the Project Management Team. Assigned projects work cross-functionally across multiple systems and a diverse geographic region. The incumbent must have considerable experience in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and demonstrate a high degree of project ownership and accountability.
What You Will Do – Primary Responsibilities
- Manages active and assigned IT projects supporting SBA's Domestic and International operations.
- Sets project goals, maintains budget estimates, and develops project plans to be on schedule and within budget.
- Schedule meetings with teams, stakeholders, and vendors for assigned IT projects as needed.
- Manages change requests, tracks additional costs and manages project scope.
- Identify risks and inform management of issues that may impact project deliverables and/or schedules.
- Create project charters, ROI's and other documents in support of IT projects.
- Provide project status reports to team members, executive management and vendors as required.
- Ensures compliance with objectives, organizational policies, procedures, and standards.
- Direct supervision of IT Business Analyst.
- Manages the gather of business requirements and creation of technical and functional specifications for IT projects.
- Assures proper training and release plans are completed.
- Use project management tools to track project performance and schedule adherence.
- Maintain SharePoint and other databases with project status and key project information.
- Other projects and duties as assigned.
Supervisory Responsibilities
- Work with Talent Acquisition to recruit, interview, select, hire, and employ a talented and diverse group of high performing team members.
- Provide oversight and direction to team members in accordance with the organization's policies and procedures.
- Coach, mentor and develop team members, including overseeing new team member onboarding and providing career development planning and growth opportunities.
- Empower team members to take ownership of their job and goals. Delegate responsibilities as needed and provide routine constructive feedback on performance.
- Create a culture that is consistent with the organization's focus on team member engagement and that aligns with the organization's mission, vision and values.
- Lead team members using a performance management and development focused approach to assist in goal setting, two-way feedback, and performance development planning.
- Lead team members to meet the organization's expectations for productivity, quality, and goal accomplishment.
What You’ll Need – Qualifications & Requirements
- Bilingual in English/Spanish or English/Portuguese required
- Bachelor's Degree in related field of study;
- and 3-5 years of project management experience in a technology organization or professional services company implementing IT systems. Experience in managing project implementations. Experience working with business analysts, development, and QA teams.
- Comprehensive knowledge of project management methodologies and tools (Agile, ITIL).
- Demonstrated knowledge and advanced proficiency working with Microsoft Office Suite software including Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft PowerPoint and Microsoft Outlook.
- Certified Project Management Professional (PMP)-PMI (PMP, PMI-ACP, PMI-PBA, CCBA) Pref
- Certified in Business Analysis -PMI Pref
