THE ROLE: We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly motivated Business Development Director to build and grow external relationships and identify opportunities to grow revenues and increase profits in Europe, including Spain, France & Italy. The successful candidate will play a critical role in supporting our strategic objectives by leading and managing new client relationships to drive business growth, serving as the primary point of contact for new clients, overseeing all aspects of account development, developing and executing account plans, setting account targets and objectives, identifying areas of account growth and collaborating with internal teams to meet client objectives effectively and efficiently. As well as leading BD and client-relationship management, the new accounts director will track new markets and trends, recommend new services, grow new strategic partnerships, identify and manage new client opportunities, participate and lead pitch presentations to potential clients, assist in proposal development, and help guide the long-term objectives to meet business objectives. This position requires excellent writing, communication and presentation skills, a strong understanding of the biotech and pharmaceutical industry, and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
