Job Description
Supervise personnel in the safe, timely and efficient installation, maintenance, repair and inspection of all electric meter and test equipment. Ensure these activities are performed in accordance with applicable safety and environmental instructions and operating procedures, and in compliance with applicable PSC requirements.

Supervise direct reports in the safe, efficient and productive installation, maintenance, repair and inspection of electric meter and test equipment.
Ensure work activities are performed in accordance with applicable safety and environmental instructions and operating procedures.
Develop and monitor skills of assigned employees and provide accurate feedback. Include feedback in performance evaluations.
Ensure correct accounting for labor, materials and supplies.
Assist Work Organizer in planning, scheduling and assigning work in the most productive manner possible to meet goals, customer commitments and emergent work.
Order, coordinate and ensure availability and timely delivery of materials, supplies and equipment.
Work within budgeted/projected resource limits.
Must be willing to travel to various work locations across the CECONY system and respond to system emergencies as needed.
Perform other assignments as required.

Qualifications
Required Education/Experience
High School Diploma/GED and 5 years of work experience or
Bachelor's Degree and 2 years of work experience
Preferred Education/Experience
Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering and 2 years of work experience with a minimum of 1 year supervisory and/or electric distribution equipment work experience
Relevant Work Experience
Electric metering experience, preferred.
Working knowledge of Work Management/Logica Systems, CIS, MAMS, MDMS and ProField, preferred.

Ability to respond to system emergencies
Able to work in all weather conditions, i.e. excessive heat and/or cold
Perform extended driving through heavy traffic and severe off-road conditions
Perform heavy manual labor, i.e. push, pull, and lift up to 50lbs
Ability to carry tools and materials when climbing ladders and scaffolds, and entering confined spaces
Ability to work in adverse conditions that include, noise, confined spaces, and high elevations
Ability to climb ladders and stairs
Ability to work on elevated platforms, scaffolds, catwalks, roofs, and/or other equipment
Perform work in underground vaults through manholes
Ability to work in inclement weather and adverse conditions (i.e., excessive heat, cold, noise, confined spaces)
Ability to work with, and in, the vicinity of high voltage and/or other high-energy systems
Ability to be approved to wear and use either a full or half-face respirator, without facial hair or other conditions that may interfere with the seal, in accordance with OSHA regulations
Stand, walk, lift, climb, bend, kneel, stoop, and/or reach for the duration of the workday
Unload materials from delivery vehicles and deliver equipment and materials to various operating facilities
Ability to travel to company locations to work on storm restoration and heat contingencies
Wear necessary Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), i.e. fire-retardant clothing and safety harnesses
Work rotating shifts, including nights, midnights, weekends, and holidays
Work with equipment with a manufacturer weight rating of 350lbs
Additional Physical Demands
The selected candidate will be assigned a System Emergency Assignment (i.e., an emergency response role) and will be expected to work non-business hours during emergencies, which may include nights, weekends, and holidays.
