Position Summary
Orange EV is seeking an Engineering Program Manager to lead the planning, design, development, and implementation of new products and manage existing products.
Position Responsibilities
- Schedule and lead project review meetings throughout the lifecycle of the product
- Collaborate with numerous internal teams, including Design Engineering, Process Engineering, Test Engineering, Sales, Purchasing, Production, Warehouse, and Field Service to identify, define, and resolve issues related to the product
- Collaborate closely with the Program Chief to prioritize engineering tasks related to the product
- Organize and manage engineering tasks specific to the product through Jira Software
- Manage the Engineering Change Control (ECR) process, including leading change control meetings, expediting tasks, and implementing changes into the product
- Create and update project planning documents, including project requirements, product design assumptions, bills of material, project schedule, and budget
Position Qualifications
- Engineering undergraduate degree
- Minimum 10 years of experience in product technical design or development
- Minimum 5 years of experience in project/program management
- Demonstrated ability to effectively understand technical materials and communicate to non-technical audiences
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively through written and verbal means to various audiences
- High level of organization managing multiple tasks of various sizes on different schedules with ever-changing levels of priority
- Demonstrated ability to anticipate issues and plan ahead; proactive work ethic
- Experience leading multidisciplinary teams
- Conduct daily activities with integrity and professionalism
- Proficient with computer applications, including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Project, SharePoint, and Teams
Ideal Candidates Will Also Have
- Highly preferred automotive background
- Experience and knowledge in automotive product development, product launch, and manufacturing
- Basic knowledge of Jira Software
