Electronic Billing Specialist
U.S. Legal Support is looking for a detail-oriented Electronic Billing Specialist to join our legal billing team. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing, reviewing, and submitting legal invoices through various e-billing platforms while ensuring accuracy, compliance with client billing guidelines, and timely submission. The ideal candidate will be highly organized, able to multitask, and have strong communication skills with a deep understanding of legal billing processes.
Essential Job Functions
Prepare, process, and submit legal invoices through multiple e-billing platforms (e.g., Collaborati, CounselLink, Legal Tracker, Tymetrix, etc.).
Review pre-bills and finalized bills to ensure compliance with client-specific billing guidelines.
Resolve billing discrepancies and rejections with clients and e-billing vendors.
Monitor e-billing portals for invoice statuses, appeals, and approvals.
Maintain accurate billing records, documentation, and reporting.
Collaborate with attorneys, legal assistants, and the finance team to ensure accurate and timely billing.
Address client inquiries regarding billing and resolve issues professionally and promptly.
Keep up to date with changes in e-billing systems and client requirements.
Assist in month-end closing processes related to billing.
Provide support for audits and special projects as needed.
Qualifications
High school diploma required; additional education in accounting, finance, or a related field preferred.
Prior experience in legal billing, preferably with electronic billing platforms.
Strong knowledge of legal billing processes and client guidelines.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Outlook.
Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
Ability to work independently and meet strict deadlines.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive attitude.
Preferred Skills
Familiarity with LEDES billing format.
Ability to work with confidential information and maintain discretion.
