Description

Assembly Technician I is the entry-level position for Vita’s production team. Assembly Technicians will assemble mechanical and electrical hardware systems and subsystems, surface prep and structurally bond composites, ensure watertight enclosures through dunk testing to support the product suite. Utilizing power supplies, hand-held cable crimping devices, multimeters, and other tools to build, inspect, and test cable systems. The Assembly technician follows and executes strict safety and documentation standards documentation standards and protocols.


We have 3 levels within our Assembly technician team. All candidates start as an Assembly Technician I and progress from there based on skills and performance. 


Essential Functions and Responsibilities include the following:

  • Learn and understand assembly work instructions, documentation, quality standards, supply chain, and production processes.
  • Train in the established production core disciplines and skills as directed by production leadership.
  • Complete all assigned Work Orders in compliance with Production's minimum standard performance for Quality.
  • Complete wire harness and simple mechanical assemblies, while continuing training on more advanced processes and assemblies. 
  • Complete all documentation according to production's documentation standard. Complete regularly scheduled maintenance orders by the listed due dates as assigned.
  • Seek guidance from senior technicians and Production Leadership to resolve issues that may arise during assemblies and ensure that all products meet established quality standards.
  • Maintain a clean and organized working area and return specialized tools to the proper location when unused.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Regular scheduled attendance, Monday - Friday

Subject to applicable laws and Vita Inclinata’s policies, regular attendance is an essential function of the position. All employees must follow Vita Inclinata's employment practices and policies.


Supervisory Responsibilities

This position has no supervisory responsibilities.  

Requirements

  

Education & Experience

  • Associate’s degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school and 1 to 3 years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Manufacturing experience is a plus. 
  • Ability to read engineering specifications and drawings preferred
  • Familiarity with electrical, pneumatic, electromechanical, and mechanical components preferred
  • Experience using measuring tools and ability to learn/perform multiple manufacturing tasks 


Skills

  • Attention to detail and quality 
  • Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in written communication 
  • Ability to be a team player with professional attitude 
  • Dependable and self-motivated


Computer Skills

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook

Compensation

In compliance with Colorado’s Equal Pay for Equal Work Act, the compensation for this role is $20 - $26/hr; however, Vita Inclinata Technologies considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, education/training, and key skills.
