Position Purpose
- Performs skilled maintenance and repairs on equipment and accessories as required for the cost effective and efficient operation of the Community as directed by Supervisor, Board and Property Manager.
Major Tasks, Responsibilities and Key Accountabilities
- Responsible for the care and upkeep of buildings and grounds for the community.
- Completes minor repairs, ie: lighting, grounds, cleaning, plumbing, pool, locks, painting, and signage.
- Maintains work area, returns tools to proper location and reports any missing equipment to supervisor.
- Must have experience in repairing sheetrock and drywall.
- Must have knowledge of electrical repairs, including changing out light fixtures, ballasts, wall switches and timers.
- Must have good carpentry skills.
- May be required to perform emergency duties on a call-out basis on nights and weekends.
- Must have exceptional attention to detail and good ability to retain memory.
- Other duties as assigned by Supervisor, Board or Property Manager.

Minimum Qualifications
- Knowledge of hand and power tools and equipment used to perform repairs and maintenance.
- Must be responsible, honest and reliable; able to attend work on a regular basis.
- Must be able to work independently.
- Must be practical and stay calm in an emergency.
- Must have good verbal communication skills.
- Must understand safe working practices as well as health and safety regulations.
- Must be eighteen years of age or older.
- Must pass the Background Check and Drug Test.
- Must have a clean driving record for a minimum of 2 years. No tickets or accidents in the last 2 years.
- Must be able to work from ladders up to 40’ high
- 5 years experience in general maintenance or building trades (preferred)
Education Required
- Proficiency using Microsoft Office applications and Outlook email.
- The knowledge, skills, and abilities typically gained through the acquisition of a high school diploma and/or GED.
