Job Highlights
- Hourly Rate: 250 per hour
- Paid Hours per Week: 35 paid hours per week or more
- Schedule: Monday to Thursday, 8 am-5 pm (8 AM - 5 PM PHT) with 30 min unpaid lunch and two 15 mins paid breaks | Friday, 8 am to 3 pm (11PM - 6AM PHT)
- Work Arrangement: Work from home
- Contract: Independent Contractor
Side note: Since this is a permanent work-from-home position and an “Independent Contractor” arrangement, the candidates must have their own computer and internet connection. They will also be accountable for handling their taxes and benefits independently. The professional fees are calculated on an hourly basis.
Responsibilities
- Review Proposed Settlement Opportunities: Work closely with Team Leadership to review and analyze settlement offers.
- Structure Settlement Plans: Utilize our CRM to build effective settlement strategies in accordance with company policies and creditor requirements.
- Bulk Submissions: Accurately enter settlement details into Google Forms for bulk submissions to creditors.
- Ensure Compliance: Verify that all settlements meet basic compliance standards, including regulatory requirements and creditor criteria.
- Industry Knowledge: Maintain up-to-date knowledge of the latest practices, regulations, and policies of major banks and collection agencies to ensure compliance and effectiveness in negotiations.
- Detailed Record-Keeping: Take thorough, accurate notes in our CRM, and production tracking tools to ensure complete documentation of settlement progress and any issues that arise.
Advancement Opportunities
Applicants who meet or exceed the above qualifications and demonstrate strong performance may have the opportunity to be promoted to higher levels of debt negotiation, including leadership roles in settlement management or senior negotiation positions.
Requirements
- Collections/Debt Settlement Experience: Prior experience in debt settlement, collections, or a closely related field is required. You should have hands-on experience negotiating debts or handling collections, with a strong understanding of creditor negotiations and client communication.
- Strong Communication Skills: Ability to clearly articulate settlement plans and effectively communicate with creditors, clients, and internal team members.
- Industry Familiarity: Experience with debt settlement, lending, collections, or sales is a must. Knowledge of how these industries operate and their challenges will be critical to your success in this role.
- Tech-Savvy: Comfortable using Google Suite (Sheets, Docs, etc.) and Microsoft Office products. Quick learners who can pick up new systems easily will thrive in this position.
- Analytical Mindset: Ability to assess financial data, settlement options, and client circumstances to make informed decisions.
- Negotiation Confidence: You should be confident and persuasive in negotiations, with a proven ability to reach settlements that benefit both the client and the company.
- Positive Attitude and Professionalism: A positive attitude, strong ethical standards, and the ability to work well with colleagues in a team environment.
- Workload Management: Ability to handle a heavy workload and manage multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail and quality.
- Quota-Driven: Proven ability to produce consistent results in a quota-driven environment.
