Responsibilities

The Greif Early Career Program offers a 10-week corporate internship experience. Participants will undertake IT project-based assignments focused on eProcurement applications.

  • Assist with data analytics by performing data mining and generating actionable insights
  • Conduct system reviews to evaluate and enhance existing procurement processes
  • Learn and work with Coupa applications
  • Provide minor user-end support as needed to ensure seamless operations
  • Participate in process improvement initiatives aimed at boosting efficiency
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and communicate effectively with other departments

You Will Have The Opportunity To

  • Attend the week-long Internship Summit at Greif’s corporate headquarters in Delaware, Ohio
  • Assist in IT assignments and ongoing projects
  • Familiarize yourself with departmental functions
  • Gain exposure to various areas within IT, understanding different processes and how they interconnect
  • Work on a global system that spans different regions and compliance standards, providing a unique perspective on international operations
  • Attend internship events, social networking events, and roundtables
  • Potentially present to the Executive Leadership Team at the end of the internship
  • Contribute to performance goals and assigned projects
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Actively pursuing an undergraduate degree in computer science, information technology, application support, data analytics, software engineering, or a related field
  • Minimum completion of two years or more of college preferred prior to the start of your internship
  • Legally authorized to work in the U.S.
  • Able to work full-time during the 10-week internship experience beginning May 19th, 2025, to July 25th, 2025

What Sets You Apart

  • Strong academic background, with a preferred GPA of 3.5 or above
  • Relevant internship, work experience, or involvement with professional clubs/organizations
  • Experience with databases and data management
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Knowledge of Power BI for data analysis and visualization
  • Proficiency in working across diverse platforms and systems, with a strong understanding of their capabilities and integration
  • Familiarity with procurement software or procurement processes
  • Familiarity with Coupa applications
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and within a team
  • Curiosity and problem-solving skills
  • Strong critical thinking skills, with the capacity to think outside the box
  • Ability to provide insights and observations beyond simply completing assigned tasks, showing initiative and a deeper understanding of the work
  • Expertise in creating compelling presentations and clear process flows using PowerPoint or similar tools
  • Excellent written and oral communication, organizational, time management, analytical, and adaptability skills
