Role: As an Analytics Engineer, you will play a critical role in helping scale our data infrastructure as Stamped exponentially increases its reliance in our infrastructure and its outputs. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to identify problems, foster constructive discussions, and develop scalable and high-quality solutions that meet business objectives.

Responsibilities:

• Help design, develop, debug, and maintain our rapidly growing data pipelines and contribute to their corresponding business logic
• Optimize queries and data warehouse designs for improved performance and scalability
• Develop and maintain autonomy by managing tasks and projects independently, ensuring timely and high-quality delivery
• Provide mentorship and guidance to team members and key cross-functional stakeholders
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data needs and design solutions that meet business requirements while ensuring data accuracy and integrity

Requirements:

• Expert in writing readable, efficient, and scalable SQL on high-volume data (usage of window functions, STRUCT/ARRAY manipulation, query optimization, and other advanced SQL elements required)
• Expert in data modeling using dbt or a similar tool
• Strong practical knowledge working with a data warehouse such as Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift, etc. (we use Snowflake)
• Strong practical knowledge with a BI tool (we use Looker and Mixpanel)
• Experience with effectively translating complex technical concepts and requirements into clear and concise language accessible to non-technical stakeholders
• Experience working with Python and/or another data centric language
• Experience with data collection, extraction, and storage tools such as S3, Airflow, Fivetran, Segment, etc.
• Comfort working in a rapidly changing environment with ambiguous requirements

• Experience in ecommerce

Compensation:

We offer a starting salary of $126,500 - $143,000 CAD depending on experience.

We take a holistic approach to compensation at Stamped. Total compensation includes Salary, benefits, RRSP, ESPP, an annual education allowance and other perks.
