Step into the world of Bullhorn as our Systems Administrator II, where your passion for Linux and problem-solving abilities will be your tools for success. In this key role, you will be instrumental in managing and optimizing our production environment, focusing on efficiency, reliability, and strategic project work.
Job Expectations
- Linux Infrastructure Master: Elevate Bullhorn's production environment with your expertise in building, implementing, and managing Linux-based projects.
- Innovation through Automation: Lead the charge in identifying and implementing automation opportunities within our Linux systems, streamlining operations for scalability and efficiency.
- Contribute to Strategic Project Delivery: Collaborate on new product deployment and enhancement projects, ensuring Linux systems are perfectly aligned and prepared.
- Documentation Excellence: Keep meticulous records of Linux technical environments, processes, and procedures, sharing knowledge and ensuring best practices across teams.
- Global System Maintenance: Oversee and maintain network and system configurations across multiple data centers, prioritizing security and performance.
- Analytical Development: Craft system analysis and reporting tools, leveraging your Linux expertise to automate tasks and enhance system monitoring.
- Reliability and Support: Ensure 24/7 availability of our production systems, including rotating on-call responsibilities, and provide direct support to internal teams and third-party vendors for Linux-related production issues.
- Strategizing on Linux system configurations and enhancements to support ongoing and future projects.
- Collaborating with Software Development, Quality Engineering, and other departments to provide expert Linux support.
- Developing and refining automation scripts to improve operational efficiency within our Linux environment.
- Responding to day to day operational alerts across Bullhorn’s suite of products, to ensure maximum availability and performance for our customers.
- Essential Linux Skills: A proven background in systems administration with a strong emphasis on Linux (Redhat/CentOS, Debian) is crucial.
- Experience working with leading cloud technologies such as AWS, Azure.
- Previous experience in a SaaS and/or high-volume website environment.
- Familiarity with LDAP/Kerberos, SAN and NAS technologies, Kubernetes, Prometheus, coding, Open Source Projects, and Puppet/CFEngine is a plus.
- Solid experience with hardware and software troubleshooting, Windows server administration, Java-based applications (Wildfly/Tomcat), and scripting languages (Python, PowerShell, Bash).
