Position Summary

We’re looking for a bold and driven Staff Software Program Manager / Scrum Master to help shape the future of connectivity across ASP’s product portfolio. Based in our Bangalore IDC, this role sits at the heart of our Connected Future initiative, an exciting and fast-growing area of our business. You’ll lead cross-functional efforts to deliver innovative SaaS solutions that connect our products and customers in smarter, more meaningful ways. Location:  Hybrid working in the Bangalore IDC office 3-4 days/week as the local Connected Future team is in the office.

 

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Lead SaaS Program Delivery: Drive the end-to-end development and commercialization of software (SaaS) solutions, from concept to launch, ensuring alignment with strategic goals and customer needs.
  • Orchestrate Cross-Functional Execution: Collaborate across product, engineering, design, and commercial teams to define scope, align priorities, and deliver high-quality outcomes within the Connected Future portfolio.
  • Manage Complex, Concurrent Initiatives: Oversee multiple projects simultaneously, maintaining clarity on dependencies, risks, and resources while keeping the big picture in focus.
  • Scrum Master Leadership: Serve as Scrum Master for Agile teams, facilitating sprint ceremonies, removing impediments, coaching on Agile principles, and driving continuous delivery of customer value.
  • Apply Agile & FBS Methodologies: Utilize Agile frameworks and Fortive Business Systems (FBS) tools—such as Visual Project Management, Risk Register, Fortive Software System and Kaizen—to accelerate delivery and ensure transparency.
  • Champion Customer-Centric Planning: Prioritize feature development through iterative planning, stakeholder engagement, and Lean Portfolio Management, grounded in customer feedback and strategic goals.
  • Foster Innovation & Continuous Improvement: Cultivate a team culture that embraces new technologies, methodologies, and best practices to enhance product development and delivery.
  • Communicate with Impact: Maintain strong stakeholder relationships through concise, regular updates on project status, risks, and opportunities for alignment.

Qualifications

Education:

 High School or Equivalent

 Associate’s Degree

 Bachelor’s Degree

 Master’s Degree

 PhD Degree

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or a related field. Advanced degree (Master's) preferred. 

Related Experience:

  • 8+ years of program management experience, with a strong focus on SaaS product development, commercialization, and cross-functional leadership. 
  • Proven success launching commercially viable SaaS solutions from concept through market delivery, ideally in regulated or high-complexity environments. 
  • 3+ years in the Medical Device industry (preferred), with working knowledge of regulatory standards such as 21CFR820 and ISO 13485. 
  • Experience in Agile and Lean methodologies, including Scrum, Kanban, and SAFe, to drive iterative development and continuous delivery. 
  • Strong understanding of SaaS business models, cloud technologies, and market dynamics, with the ability to translate strategy into execution. 
  • Demonstrated ability to lead large, global, and interdependent programs in technical domains, managing scope, risk, and stakeholder alignment. 
  • Hands-on experience with process improvement and metrics, including use of tools like Jira, Confluence, and Fortive Business Systems (FBS). 
  • Track record of mentoring and developing high-performing project teams, fostering innovation, accountability, and breakthrough thinking.

  • Exceptional program and project management skills, with a proven ability to lead cross-functional teams through complex, high-impact initiatives. 
  • Strong Agile leadership, including hands-on experience as a Scrum Master and/or Release Train Engineer and familiarity with SAFe, Kanban, and Lean practices.  
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement, with the ability to influence and present effectively to senior executives and global teams. 
  • Strategic thinking and business acumen, aligning program goals with broader organizational objectives and market opportunities. 
  • Results-driven mindset, focused on delivering high-quality, customer-centric SaaS solutions with measurable impact. 
  • Advanced problem-solving and decision-making skills, navigating ambiguity and driving clarity in fast-paced environments. 
  • High accountability and performance orientation, setting and raising standards, and holding teams to commitments. 
  • Inclusive leadership, fostering psychological safety, encouraging diverse perspectives, and promoting innovation. 
  • Metric-driven approach, leveraging KPIs, OKRs, and dashboards to track progress and drive continuous improvement. 
  • Proficiency in project and collaboration tools, including Microsoft Project, Jira, Confluence, Miro, and Microsoft Office Suite. 
  • Certification preferred: PMP, PgMP, PMI-ACP, Certified Scrum Master (CSM), or equivalent.

    • R&D managers and individual contributors
