Job Summary
Join our Banking Consulting Europe team as a Consultant, where you’ll contribute to the development, implementation, or managed services of cutting-edge Oracle Digital Banking products. You will engage directly with clients and internal teams to deliver high-quality solutions that transform core banking operations across the region.
 

Qualifications & Skills

 

Mandatory:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related technical field.

  • 1–4 years’ experience in application development, implementation, and/or support for core banking applications.

  • Proficiency in Core Java, J2EE, Microservices technologies, Spring Boot, JavaScript, XML.

  • Experience with Oracle SQL, PL/SQL, and Oracle Databases (12c/18c).

  • Familiarity with application server software, especially Oracle WebLogic.

  • Ability to use release management, source control, and issue tracking tools.

  • Exposure to the banking domain and digital banking applications.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.

 

Good-to-Have:

  • Experience with cloud and SaaS deployments, Agile/DevOps methodologies, and testing tools.

  • Knowledge of Oracle OBIEE reports, BIP, or middleware technologies (e.g., Oracle Fusion SOA Suite).

  • Oracle Banking/FLEXCUBE technical certifications or willingness to obtain.

  • Skills in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint).

  • Ability to work in shifts, travel to client locations, and thrive in high-pressure environments.

  • Awareness of banking terminologies and regulatory concepts.

  1. Can you describe a project where you participated in the development or implementation of a digital banking application using Java, J2EE, or related technologies?

  2. How have you handled troubleshooting and deployment on Oracle WebLogic or similar application servers?

  3. What experience do you have with database programming using Oracle SQL, PL/SQL, or managing Oracle database environments?

  4. In what ways have you ensured compliance with client or organizational standards, especially around documentation and change control processes?

  5. Are you comfortable working in rotational shifts, traveling for client engagements, and adapting to fast-paced project environments?
     


 

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

  • Participate as a technical team member in development, implementation, or managed service activities, including migration, integration, testing support, and coordination with onshore/offshore teams.

  • Analyze, design, and implement solutions tailored to diverse business requirements.

  • Develop and deliver programs based on Oracle/client specifications, ensuring adherence to project timelines.

  • Apply established standards, tools, and processes to achieve and maintain deliverable quality.

  • Document work consistently according to Oracle/client-approved methods and compliance standards.

  • Adhere to change control, audit, and compliance requirements for all project tasks.

  • Ensure delivery of robust, quality code and contribute to effective handover/knowledge transfer activities.

  • Provide timely status reporting, and submit timesheets and expense reports in line with Oracle/client policies.
