Polyglass USA, Inc., a premier roofing materials manufacturer, has an opening for a Plant Superintendent to join our Hazleton team! This position is responsible for all production functions, assisting in the development of production goals and drives continuous improvement throughout the entire operation.
What You Get To Do:
- Lead daily plant operations to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality production.
- Champion all safety, health, and environmental policies; ensure compliance with corporate, federal, state, and local regulations.
- Drive operational excellence through continuous improvement, cost control, and performance optimization.
- Supervise, coach, and develop production teams; promote cross-training and professional growth.
- Maintain accurate production, inventory, and quality records; review KPIs and implement corrective actions as needed.
- Conduct daily production meetings to review results, address issues, and set clear goals.
- Collaborate with Maintenance, Quality, and Mixing teams to ensure proper scheduling, equipment reliability, and material readiness.
- Promote a positive and accountable workplace through regular floor presence and open communication across all shifts.
- Manage employee scheduling, timekeeping, and attendance to meet production targets and customer demand.
- Oversee housekeeping and waste management programs to maintain a clean, safe, and efficient facility.
- Support product and process improvement trials, analyzing data to enhance quality and throughput.
- Serve as backup for the Plant Manager in approving purchase orders and key operational decisions.
- Be available for after-hours plant support as needed.
What You Bring:
- This position requires the ability to work with a personal computer in a Windows environment.
- Requires proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint.
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Five years management experience in a production environment required.
- Prior supervisory experience required.
