If you’re energized by helping customers succeed and thrive in a fast-paced technology services environment, Spencer Technologies wants to hear from you.The Inside Sales Representative plays a key role in driving Spencer Technologies’ growth by supporting Account Managers and managing a portfolio of smaller clients and transactional accounts. You’ll build relationships, identify opportunities, and provide responsive, solutions-oriented service to ensure every customer interaction reflects the quality and reliability Spencer is known for. From proactive outreach and lead follow-up to preparing estimates and closing deals, you’ll help grow revenue and strengthen client satisfaction. This position may be based at Spencer Technologies’ Global Headquarters in Medway, MA, or remote for qualified candidates.
Core Duties:
• Proactively source new sales opportunities through inbound lead follow-up and targeted outbound calls and emails.
• Research accounts to identify key contacts, decision-makers, and potential opportunities for engagement.
• Deliver effective presentations and demonstrations to prospective clients.
• Meet or exceed assigned sales quotas and performance targets.
• Route complex or strategic opportunities to the appropriate Business Development Manager for further development and closure.
• Maintain regular contact with existing and prospective clients to understand evolving needs and opportunities.
• Recommend solutions and services that align with each client’s goals, challenges, and interests.
• Provide accurate estimates, quotes, and bids that balance client needs with company profitability.
• Respond promptly to client inquiries regarding services, pricing, and project details.
• Close sales opportunities while ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction.
• Build and maintain long-term, positive relationships with clients to drive retention and growth.
• Prepare and maintain accurate sales forecasts, pipeline updates, and performance reports.
• Keep thorough records of client communications, sales activities, and outcomes in CRM systems.
• Monitor and report on client concerns, feedback, and business trends to support continuous improvement.
• Maintain an up-to-date understanding of Spencer Technologies’ service portfolio and value proposition.
Basic Qualifications:
• Proven experience in sales, with a track record of meeting or exceeding goals.
• Strong customer service orientation and a passion for delivering world-class client experiences.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, goal-driven environment.
• Skilled at managing both outbound and inbound sales calls and email communications.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and ideally Access.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with confidence and professionalism in every interaction.
• Highly organized with strong time management skills, able to prioritize multiple tasks with a sense of urgency.
• Self-motivated, proactive, and comfortable working independently with minimal supervision.
• Creative problem solver with strong analytical thinking and adaptability.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred; equivalent professional experience will be considered.
• Limited travel required; willingness to travel as needed.
