The Senior Manager of Sourcing & Category Management identifies and drives 3rd party supplier relationships within a defined set of product and/or service categories. With a focus on delivering the lowest possible Total Cost of Ownership (TCOO), this position works across multiple brands to deliver products and/or services that attain the required quality, service and financial performance levels,
Purpose/Impact: (Duties & Essential Functions)
- Qualify, establish, and manage relationships with suppliers; manage and serve as primary point of contact for 30-50 suppliers.
- Organize and support meetings between internal teams and suppliers for systems integration and reporting requirements (as needed)
- Negotiate contractual terms, pricing, and service level agreements across a supplier base
- Identify opportunities for relationship growth and improvement
- Initiate the RFP process for potential new supplier partners and categories
- Perform regular supplier audits and performance reviews
- Facilitate internal supplier Trade Shows as required
- Communicate relevant updates to internal and external stakeholders.
- Provide content support for brand specific newsletters
- Lead and/or participate in special projects assigned by leadership (incl. oversight of the Woodbury Retail store)
- Other duties as assigned
Strengths and Background
- A bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Operations, Engineering, or a related field
- 3-5 years of direct and/or indirect experience
- 5 – 7 overall materials, procurement, or supply chain management expertise
- Must have the ability to work with varied internal and external partners and respond to variable customer requirements and demands
- Proven ability to work cross-functionally
- Comfortable and experienced working within a dynamic and fast paced environment
Additional Strengths and Background
- Proven negotiation skills necessary
- Proven history of RFP/RFQ execution
- Operational level problem solving / decision skills required
- Demonstrated ability to plan, coordinate, and execute supplier events
- Persuasive communication skills, both written and verbal required
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Office applications (i.e. Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook)
- Superior analytical and critical thinking skills required
- Strong Interpersonal/Management-by-Influence skills required
- Lean Six Sigma – Yellow Belt or greater desired

Remote optional: Wednesdays and Fridays
