Oracle HCM (HRIS) Compensation Specialist
The Oracle HCM Compensation Specialist is a global, in-house position at Grant Thornton, responsible for providing functional expertise in the design and execution of compensation programs within Oracle HCM Cloud. This role supports annual cycles—including merit, bonus, and equity—maintains plan configurations and ensures compliance with local regulations across all regions. You will collaborate directly with HR, Finance, and business leaders worldwide to deliver scalable, compliant, and strategically aligned compensation programs that support Grant Thornton’s global workforce.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and configure global compensation plans reflecting local market practices, legal requirements, and business objectives.
- Ensure compliance with country-specific regulations related to pay structures, bonuses, equity, and other compensation elements.
- Support annual compensation cycles, including merit, bonus, and equity planning, by managing system readiness, data integrity, and user experience.
- Drive consistency and scalability across geographies by leveraging Oracle’s capabilities to standardize processes while allowing for regional flexibility.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with HR, Finance, and regional leaders to align compensation processes with strategic goals.
- Enable data-driven decision-making through accurate reporting and analytics.
- Maintain plan configurations and ensure system security and compliance reporting.

Required Skills & Experience
- Deep understanding of Oracle Fusion Cloud HCM, especially the Compensation module within a global organization.
- Familiarity with related modules: Core HR, Payroll, Talent Management, and Workforce Compensation.
- Ability to model and manage compensation plans including salary, bonuses, and stock.
- Experience with budget modeling, compensation ratio analysis, and performance-based allocations.
- Proficiency in Oracle Transactional Business Intelligence (OTBI) and BI Publisher.
- Skilled in managing compensation cycles, approvals, and exception handling.
- Experience with HCM Spreadsheet Data Loader for mass updates.
- Understanding of role-based access and data security within Oracle HCM.
- Strong interpersonal skills to work with HR, finance, and business leaders.
- Ability to present compensation insights and recommendations clearly.
Education & Certifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Finance, or related field, or equivalent experience.
- Preferred: Oracle Compensation Cloud 2025 Implementation Professional, Oracle Global Human Resources Cloud Certification, or other relevant Oracle Cloud HCM certifications.
Technical Proficiency
- Familiarity with REST services, HCM data loaders, and user-defined tables.
- Understanding compensation-related APIs and integrations.
Experience
- 3–5+ years in HR or compensation management roles utilizing Oracle HCM.
- 1-2 years in a management or leadership type of role.
The base salary range for this position in the firm’s Chicago, IL, Downers Grove, IL, Denver, CO and Baltimore, MD offices only is between $120,000 and $180,000 per year.
