Summary - Responsible for the development of new Treasury Management customer business, the expansion of existing commercial relationships, and the delivery or TM products and services.

Duties and Responsibilities include the following.

  • Showcases strong client interaction skills, demonstrating the ability to influence the outcome of the sales process.
  • Consistently exceeds annual sales goals and tasks set by Management.
  • Demonstrates the aptitude for powerful presentations and negotiation skills with internal and external clients.
  • Create and implements plans and tactics with the Market President to assist the market in attaining goals and objectives in relation to deposit growth and increased revenue.
  • Serve as an expert for Treasury Management products and services, deliver internal presentations when needed, actively participate in sales meetings, and prospect development within the market.
  • Manage all elements of the sales cycle including business development, prospect qualification, needs analysis, and close of sale to exceed all deposit and revenue growth goals.
  • Provides strategic treasury advisory services to clients and co-workers.
  • Maintains a working knowledge of financial management principles.
  •  Assists Relationship Managers, Business Development Bankers and Banking Center Managers by offering value-added services to prospects and clients.
  • Maintains Treasury Management Relationships by providing excellent customer support such as online navigation, phone training, account inquiries, problem solving, and technical support.
  • Works closely with the Relationship Managers to evaluate prospective customer relationships and offers suitable recommendations for deposit focused relationships.
  • Consistently prospects and self-generate leads through networking, community interaction and existing client interactions.
  • Actively retains and data mines existing clients for additional cross-sell opportunities through constant communication, treasury management reviews, relationship reviews with Relationship Manager, and conducting on-site evaluations when necessary.
  • Educates Treasury Management customers on the risks in the banking environment and the necessary steps to protect themselves.
  • Accommodates request for presentations at community events.
  • Develop sales proposals, RFP responses, and pricing proformas for existing clients and prospects to further develop and strengthen business relationships.

Education and/or Experience                                                     

High School diploma or General Education Degree (GED) required.  Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university in a business-related field preferred; MBA or advanced degree desirable. CTP designation highly recommended.  Minimum of ten (10) years banking experience or related experience in accounting, marketing or other sales-related field required.

Computer Skills                                                               

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of computer applications such as the Internet, Outlook, Microsoft Word and Excel.  Ability to use basic office machines.  Ability to learn bank-specific software such as MPC, IBS, ADP, etc.

Work Environment  The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
