Position Summary
The Scheduling Manager is responsible for overseeing and coordinating all aspects of scheduling jobs across multiple departments, including Project Management, Engineering, Drafting, Production, and Shipping. This position ensures that projects flow efficiently from contract entry through final delivery, maintaining accuracy in data management systems and proactive communication with internal teams and external customers.
Key Responsibilities
• Direct and manage the overall scheduling process for Project Management, Engineering, Drafting, Production, and Shipping to ensure on-time project execution.
• Oversee contract entry and database management within Microsoft Dynamics 365 (F&O) and the company’s Master Schedule (Access).
• Collaborate closely with District Managers and Customers to confirm delivery dates, manage changes, and communicate updates in a timely and professional manner.
• Supervise and support the Order Entry Specialist and Customer Liaison, ensuring accurate and efficient processing of orders and customer communication.
• Analyze project schedules to identify potential conflicts or delays and proactively implement corrective actions.
• Maintain and update scheduling dashboards, reports, and key performance indicators to support management decisions.
• Coordinate cross-departmental communication to ensure smooth workflow and alignment of priorities.
• Participate in continuous improvement efforts to streamline scheduling, order entry, and production planning processes.
• Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
Preferred Skills and Qualifications
• Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to handle multiple priorities simultaneously.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, both internally and externally.
• Proficient in computer skills and/or Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Teams).
• Ability to learn Adobe / Blue Beam for reviewing drawings and documentation.
• Experience working in Microsoft Dynamics 365 (F&O) and database-driven scheduling tools such as Access and Monday.com preferred.
• Familiarity with BricsCAD or other CAD software preferred.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
Education and Experience
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in scheduling, production planning, or project coordination within the pre-engineered metal building or manufacturing industry.
Work Environment
• Batesville-based position with regular interaction across multiple departments.
• Must be able to remain in a stationary position for extended periods while working at a computer.
• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds.
