Primary Purpose:
The Business Analyst will join TowneBank’s Data Team, which is dedicated to transforming enterprise-wide data into actionable business insights. This role involves closely collaborating with various lines of business to understand their needs, translating those needs into clear technical requirements, and serving as a liaison to ensure the delivery of accurate, comprehensive data solutions. A central focus of this position is to support the development of a member/customer 360 view with enhanced member relationships which will enable front-line bankers, executive leadership, and marketing teams to drive strategic growth across the organization.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Translate business needs into clear, actionable functional specifications for technology teams to ensure timely and effective solution delivery.
  • Support all phases of the system/process implementation lifecycle, including requirements gathering, testing, deployment, and particularly post-go-live support.
  • Monitor and maintain business applications in production, identifying opportunities for continuous improvement and increased user adoption.
  • Assist in the development and maintenance of documentation for business processes, systems, and solutions.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert for key business areas, providing operational and analytical support across departments.
  • Ensure compliance with organizational policies, including adherence to work tracking and change management processes.

Qualifications:

  • Foundational understanding of banking products, including deposits and loans. A minimum of two years’ experience in financial services or with a banking service provider is ideal.
  • Ability to work independently, interpret data effectively, and take initiative with minimal supervision.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and critical thinking skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Dependable, initiative-taking with a cheerful outlook
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal, with an ability to build rapport and collaborate effectively.

Desired Skills & Competencies:

  • Working knowledge of core consumer and commercial banking products.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Finance or Information Technology or equivalent field experience
  • Two years of recent experience working as a business analyst.
  • Experience working in agile, cross-functional teams.

Physical Requirements:

  • Express or exchange ideas by means of the spoken word via email and verbally.
  • Exert up to ten pounds of force occasionally, use your arms and legs, and sit most of the time.
  • Have close visual acuity to perform activities such as analyzing data, viewing a computer terminal, reading, and preparing documentation.
  • Not exposed to adverse environmental conditions.
